New Strategy of Visual Acuity Assessment by Consecutively-sized Landolt Ring Symbol.

In this paper, novel visual acuity test strategy is proposed. Unlike conventional way, an instructor shows a subject the magnifying image of Landolt ring through the monitor. By adapting multiple reliability verification system using feedback, instructor can get the vision acuity data with higher accuracy and resolution.

The Method for Visualization and Analysis of Eye-blinking Patterns using Dynamic Vision.

This study proposes a method for measurement and visualization of eye blinking patterns using dynamic vision image. The dynamic vision data is the outputs of only the pixels with temporal luminance changes. Eye blinking analysis using dynamic vision data for can significantly reduce the time cost of comparing consecutive frames to find eyelid changes.

Simple and fast polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) patterning using a cutting plotter and vinyl adhesives to achieve etching results.

Inhibition of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) polymerization could be observed when spin-coated over vinyl substrates. The degree of polymerization, partially curing or fully curing, depended on the PDMS thickness coated over the vinyl substrate. This characteristic was exploited to achieve simple and fast PDMS patterning method using a vinyl adhesive layer patterned through a cutting plotter.

The analysis of eye blinking pattern using high-frame-rate camera.

The purpose of this study is to analyze eye blinking patterns using high-speed camera without additional instructions and illuminations. The experimental video clips are taken at 240 frames per second, which is twice the flickering rate of room light. The eye blinking sequences are segmented from the whole video clip after reducing noise and baseline wander.
