Background: There has been a growing interest in integrating social and function-focused care into health care settings. Little is known about what older adults perceive as the needs that impact their lives, and the resources to address patients' social and functional needs often exist outside of traditional health care settings.
Methods: Our objective was to understand frail older adults' and community organizations' perspectives on what social and functional needs impact older adults' health, the support they receive, and how organizations and health systems could partner to address these needs.

Purpose: To report a rare case of primary sebaceous gland carcinoma of the bulbar conjunctiva without palpebral involvement.
Observation: A 76-year-old male was referred to the cornea service for a suspicious lesion on the limbal conjunctiva and cornea of his left eye. On exam, there was a large fibrovascular growth with conjunctivalization of the cornea from 2:00 to 10:00 extending 6mm onto the cornea.

A perinatal internship was developed to address the unique issues faced by new graduate nurses transitioning from school to practice and to ensure a successful transition to practice, strong foundation of knowledge, and an increase in retention rates. Through the development, implementation, and necessary redesign of the program, the authors found retention rates to be an average of 74% for the organization with ongoing program revisions being conducted to improve current retention rates.

We show that the log-periodic power law singularity model (LPPLS), a mathematical embodiment of positive feedbacks between agents and of their hierarchical dynamical organization, has a significant predictive power in financial markets. We find that LPPLS-based strategies significantly outperform the randomized ones and that they are robust with respect to a large selection of assets and time periods. The dynamics of prices thus markedly deviate from randomness in certain pockets of predictability that can be associated with bubble market regimes.

Secretion of cytoplasmic expressed proteins into culture medium has significant commercial advantages in large-scale production of proteins.
