Video capsule endoscopy (VCE) is an effective diagnostic modality for detecting small bowel lesions. However, the value of VCE for patients with chronic recurrent abdominal pain (CAP) of unknown etiology remains obscure. We retrospectively analyzed factors that could predict enteropathy based on the medical records of 65 patients with unexplained chronic recurrent abdominal pain (CAP) who were assessed using VCE between 2001 and 2021.

Valproic acid (VPA), a widely used antiepileptic drug, is one of the common causes of drug-induced thrombocytopenia. The purpose of this study was to estimate the incidence and risk factors of thrombocytopenia after intravenous VPA therapy among the patients admitted to NCU.

Here, we report a case of HLH associated with dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) after a trip to Thailand.
Case Summary: A 33-year-old healthy female patient presented with 3 days of fever, myalgia, and skin rash.
Mirror therapy has been performed as effective occupational therapy in a clinical setting for functional recovery of a hemiplegic arm after stroke. It is conducted by eliciting an illusion through use of a mirror as if the hemiplegic arm is moving in real-time while moving the healthy arm. It can facilitate brain neuroplasticity through activation of the sensorimotor cortex.

To obtain a more sensitive and convenient diagnosis of the disease, we prepared monoclonal antibodies specific for the FeLV p27 to develop a rapid diagnostic test with enhanced sensitivity and specificity. Among these antibodies, we identified two clones (hybridomas 8F8B5 and 8G7D1) that specifically bound to FeLV and were very suitable for a diagnostic kit.

Among these antibodies, we identified two clones--hybridomas 1H7E1 and 3A3H7-that specifically bound to H1N1 2009 (non-seasonal) and were very suitable for application to a diagnostic kit. The affinity constants (K(a)) of 1H7E1 and 3A3H7 were 1.

Tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) is released from macrophages in atherosclerotic lesions and from neointimal vascular smooth muscle cells after balloon-injury. Obovatol, a major biphenolic component isolated from the Magnolia obovata leaf, is known to have anti-inflammatory and antitumor activities.

The kit is one of the most popular rapid diagnostic tests for detecting influenza in Republic of Korea.
Results: The NanoSign® Influenza A/B kit resulted in 79.
