- A new species of harpacticoid copepod, named Elaphoidella longiramus, has been identified from Thae Wa Phithak Cave in Lopburi Province, Thailand.
- This species is the 14th member of the Elaphoidella genus recorded in Thailand and was found in a water bucket filled with drips from the cave.
- E. longiramus is closely related to E. thailandensis but can be differentiated by its elongated features and specific variations in leg structure and anal operculum characteristics.
