This study develops a fully biobased phase change material (PCM) by encapsulating capric acid-stearic acid eutectic (CSE) with a lignin-zein shell. It is driven by core-shell aggregation in Pickering emulsion during solvent exchange. Herein, the introduction of zein effectively promotes core-shell aggregation and stabilizes CSE Pickering emulsion.

We report a case of a 66-year-old woman with 8 years of progressive bilateral periorbital fullness, eyelid edema, and skin laxity. She had a history of thyroid cancer, smoldering myeloma, and systemic amyloidosis. The exam demonstrated significant bilateral periorbital fullness with mild limitation of extraocular motility in all directions bilaterally without double vision.

Background: Although clinical trials involving psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy have not observed short-term increases in the risk of death, limited data exist on mortality associated with hallucinogen use outside of controlled trial settings. We sought to determine whether people with an emergency department visit or hospital admission involving hallucinogen use were at increased risk of all-cause death compared with the general population and with people with acute care presentations involving other substances.

Introduction: Clinical guidelines recommend a holistic approach to Parkinson's disease (PD) care, yet randomized trials examining mindfulness-based interventions in this context are scarce. This study investigated the effects of two mindfulness practices - meditation and yoga - on biopsychosocial outcomes in PD patients, including anxiety symptoms, depressive symptoms, motor/nonmotor symptoms, health-related quality-of-life (HRQOL), mindfulness, and stress and inflammation biomarkers, compared to usual care.
