Background/objectives: Anemia is a global health issue affecting diverse populations, particularly older adults, and conventional treatments often show limited efficacy. This study aimed to evaluate the utilization and effectiveness of Sipjeondaebotang (SDT), a prescription drug used in traditional East Asian medicine, in treating various types of anemia.
Methods: A scoping review was conducted following Arksey and O'Malley's framework and PRISMA-ScR guidelines.
Background And Objective: Heart failure (HF) is associated with high mortality and hospitalization rates, and its prevalence increases with age. As congestion is the most common cause of hospitalization for HF, diuretics are the most prescribed drugs. However, these agents have side effects due to electrolyte imbalance.
