Importance: Comprehensive data on childhood mycosis fungoides (MF) is scarce.
Objective: To describe clinical features, immunophenotypes, various treatment options, and prognosis of MF in children and adolescents.
Evidence Review: This systematic review searched MEDLINE via PubMed, Embase, Cochrane, and Scopus databases in October 2019.
The prevalence of obesity as well as cognitive impairment increases with age. Previous studies showed that obesity is associated with an increased risk of cognitive impairment and dementia. Body composition changes occur as part of the aging process; therefore, the assessment of obesity in elderly populations should include body composition as well as body weight.

We carried out proteomic profiling of plasma from cross-sectional and longitudinal cohorts of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 and analyzed clinical data from our health system database of more than 3300 patients. Using a machine learning algorithm, we identified a prominent signature of neutrophil activation, including resistin, lipocalin-2, hepatocyte growth factor, interleukin-8, and granulocyte colony-stimulating factor, which were the strongest predictors of critical illness.

Method: Cross-sectional data of KA in rural Alabama ( = 230) were analyzed. Opioid literacy was assessed by the Brief Opioid Overdose Knowledge survey.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine racial differences in the discussion of advance care planning among older adults using Andersen's behavioral model of health care utilization.
Method: This cross-sectional study utilized data from the 2018 National Health and Aging Trends Study. Weighted multivariable logistic regressions were used to predict advance care planning discussion ( = 1,326).
The COVID-19 pandemic led to widespread use of telemedicine and highlighted its importance in improving access to sleep care and advocating for sleep health. This update incorporates the lessons learned from such widespread utilization of telehealth to build on the American Academy of Sleep Medicine's 2015 position paper on the use of telemedicine for diagnosing and treating sleep disorders. Important key factors in this update include an emphasis on quality and value, privacy and safety, health advocacy through sleep telemedicine, and future directions.

As part of the aging process, body composition changes occur. This study investigated the relationship between body composition and frailty in a community-dwelling elderly Korean population.

The study data were derived from the Korean Frailty and Aging Cohort Study, and a total of 1092 participants were included. Frailty and high physical activity had significant reciprocal relationships in the middle-old group, which indicates that frailty was associated with less high physical activity, and high physical activity predicts less frailty after 2 years.

The objective of this study was to compare the long-term effectiveness and safety of Neuramis Volume Lidocaine (SHAPE-NVL) and Juvederm Voluma with Lidocaine (VYC-20L) in mid-face volume restoration in Asians. Overall, 88 Korean subjects with moderate-to-severe age-related mid-face volume deficit on the Mid-Face Volume Deficit Scale (MFVDS) received SHAPE-NVL on one side and VYC-20L on the contralateral side of the face.

Objectives: The aim was to investigate a structural frailty model, to verify the factors which affect the frailty of older adults, and to evaluate the moderating effects of nutritional status on frailty through multi-group analysis.
Background: Epigenetic age acceleration has been studied as a promising biomarker of age-related conditions, including cognitive aging. This pilot study aims to explore potential cognitive aging-related biomarkers by investigating the relationship of epigenetic age acceleration and cognitive function and by examining the epigenetic age acceleration differences between successful cognitive aging (SCA) and normal cognitive aging (NCA) among Korean community-dwelling older adults (CDOAs).
Methods: We used data and blood samples of Korean CDOAs from the Korean Frailty and Aging Cohort Study.

Amlexanox, a small molecule targeted therapy which has been used in the treatment of atopic conditions was previously but is not currently available in the United States. Amlexanox has also been legally utilized and administered in Japan as a treatment for asthma, a chronic pulmonary disease characterized by inflammation of the lower respiratory tract. Amlexanox's immune modulatory effects have been the subject of studies which have repurposed the drug for potential therapeutic applications in metabolic and inflammatory disease.

Cellular lipid content in DMI (dexamethasone, 3-isobutyl-1-methylxanthine, and insulin mixture)-treated cells increased, while ATM treatment caused a significant reduction in lipid accumulation in differentiated cells. ATM (60 ug/mL) caused inhibition of adipogenesis via down-regulation of the CCAAT/enhancer binding protein β () (48%), (66%), and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ () (64%) expressions in cells.

Methods: We used baseline records of 3,010 ambulatory participants with TUG data from the Korean Frailty Aging Cohort Study from 2016 to 2017. The population-specific distribution of TUG was assessed.
Increase in thrombotic and microvascular complications is emerging to be a key feature of patients with critical illness associated with COVID-19 infection. While endotheliopathy is thought to be a key factor of COVID-19-associated coagulopathy, markers indicative of this process that are prognostic of disease severity have not been well-established in this patient population. Using plasma profiling of patients with COVID-19, we identified circulating markers that segregated with disease severity: markers of angiogenesis (VEGF-A, PDGF-AA and PDGF-AB/BB) were elevated in hospitalized patients with non-critical COVID-19 infection, while markers of endothelial injury (angiopoietin-2, FLT-3L, PAI-1) were elevated in patients with critical COVID-19 infection.

Both in- and out-of-plane modes are identified, each of which has trends that depend upon the metal-metal distance, the size of the van der Waals gap, and the metal-to-chalcogenide slab mass ratio. We test these trends against the response of similar systems, including Cr-intercalated NbS and RbFe(SO), and demonstrate that the metal monolayer excitations are both coherent and tunable.

Frailty is a common geriatric condition due to aging and defined as a decline in strength and a decrease in the physiologic ability to maintain the homeostasis. Vitamin B12 (B12), water-soluble vitamins, are a cofactor in DNA synthesis and involved in the metabolism of every cell in the human body, including the central nervous system. Demyelination neuromuscular symptoms observed in the peripheral nervous system, along with signs of significant damage to nerve fibers, often cause weakness, numbness in distal limbs, impaired balance, gait ataxia, and even physical frailty.
