The potential of swimming pool rinsing water for irrigation of green areas: a case study.

The aim of the research was to check the possibility of using the rinsing water after rinsing the recreational pool filters, cleaned with the rinse water recovery system, for irrigation of green areas. The system consists of the following stages: flocculation, pre-filtration, and ultrafiltration based on filter tubes. The degree of contamination of the rinse waters before and after the treatment process was assessed by means of physicochemical and microbiological tests, and then compared with the permissible parameter values for wastewater discharged into the ground or water.

Application of the Swimming Pool Backwash Water Recovery System with the Use of Filter Tubes.

During the operation of swimming pools, large losses of water from the backwash of swimming pool filters are observed. This water is often discharged into sewers or used to sprinkle sports grounds. The aim of the research was to design and build an installation for purification and recovery of backwash water (BWW).

Comparative Efficacy of Topical Pertmehrin, Crotamiton and Sulfur Ointment in Treatment of Scabies.

Background: Scabies is an ectoparasitic infection, which occurs because of direct skin-to skin contact. The ideal treatment modality is still unclear and further research on this topic is warranted. The aim of the study was to compare the efficacy and safety of the topical scabicides: permethrin, crotamiton and sulfur ointment.
