Background: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of prenatal screening tests on prenatal diagnosis in Taiwan's 14 years from 2006 to 2019.
Methods: The prenatal screening methods evolved from the second-trimester serum screening to combined first-trimester screening (cFTS) and then followed by the non-invasive cell-free DNA prenatal test (NIPT). The data used by the Department of Statistics, the Ministry of Health and Welfare and Department of Household Registration, Ministry of the Interior public website.
Objective: The aim of this research was to compare the fetal frontomaxillary facial (FMF) angle between normal and trisomy 21 fetuses at 11(+0) -13(+6) weeks gestation in a Chinese population.
Methods: A prospective observational study was performed that included 640 euploid and 45 trisomy 21 singleton pregnancies undergoing first trimester ultrasound screening between 11 and 13(+6) weeks of gestation. The FMF angle was measured in the midsagittal plane using the standard technique.
In view of the rising prevalence of dengue virus and mixing of host and vector populations, complete full-length sequence determination of dengue strains isolated from different epidemic areas is important for the study of virus evolution, pathogenicity, vaccine efficiency and diagnosis. Based on the genomic analysis of 51 complete dengue virus sequences, all of which cocirculated in Thailand between 1974 and 2001, we report here the occurrence of homologous recombination in the NS5 nonstructural gene region of dengue virus type 2 (DENV-2) strains. In order to analyze those 51 virus sequences at one time, we chose to use a highly sensitive recombination detection program called RDP.

Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling plays an important role in understanding the biomechanical properties and in facilitating the prediction of aneurysm rupture. A successful computational study relies on an accurate description of the vascular geometry that is obtained from volumetric images.

A visible light source was inserted into the medullary bone cavity in order to detect the distal interlocking screw holes. The light penetrates out of the bone surface, revealing the position of the screw hole, and this allows the subsequent drilling and placing of the interlocking screw to be free of fluoroscopy.

A region-growing algorithm was employed to propagate an area from a seed point as a function of the DC threshold (DCt) to critically evaluate the directional properties of WM tracts. As the DCt was increased, more pixels were excluded from the propagated region as their DC fell below the DCt, and neighboring WM tracts could be distinguished as the area decreased.

Materials And Methods: The GREAST technique uses a combination of a short TR spoiled gradient-echo (SPGR) sequence with a selective presaturation radio frequency (RF) pulse that allows acquiring each tagged and control image within 10-20 seconds. The phantom and human studies were performed for evaluating the feasibility in measurement of local perfusion and the efficacy in alleviation of the asymmetric magnetization transfer (MT) and slice profile effects.
