Pharmaceutical preparations containing sodium fluoride as an active substance have been examined. To do it, a procedure developed previously that uses the inhibition of redox reaction in the system under investigation was employed. For determination purposes, visible range spectrophotometry and redoxometric titration enabling indirect quantitative determination of fluoride ions in preparations under examination have been applied.

A method for identification and quantitative determination of ginkgolides A, B, and C and bilobalide in liquid and dry extracts of Ginkgo biloba extracts has been developed. Determinations made by employing capillary gas chromatography technique with FID detection were preceded by derivatization using BSTFA with TMCS addition at 120 degrees C. Cholesterol was used as an internal standard.

A UV spectrophotometric method was developed for simultaneous determination of ions: Pb(II), Fe(III) and Bi(III) in complexes with DACT. Zero-order and derivative spectra were used for the determinations. Under the established experimental conditions the described method furnished reliable results with low limit of detection (from 0.

A procedure for simultaneous determination of metoprolol and hydrochlorothiazide in tablets by employing derivative spectrophotometry, "zero-crossing" method was developed. The third order derivative absorption spectra at lambda approximately 281 nm were used for metoprolol and the first order derivative spectra at lambda approximately 282 nm were used for hydrochlorothiazide. No interferences were found between both determined constituents and those of matrix.

Anhydrous copper(II) acetate was applied to spectrophotometric determination of amitriptilline, doxepin and lignocaine in acetone solutions. The developed method was employed for determining these substances in pharmaceutical preparations. The obtained results has indicated both high precision and accuracy of the method.

The conditions for separation, identification and quantitative determination of epimers 22R and 22S of budesonide by capillary gas chromatography (GC) with FID detection and two various sample injection methods, namely split-splitless and cool on-column, were established. In analysis helium as carrier gas and Rtx-5 capillary column of 7 m in length along with stationary phase Crossbond 5% diphenyl-95% dimethyl polysiloxane were used. The individual epimers were identified under specified conditions by using standard samples of different declared concentration of each epimer under investigation: (1) 51.

The conditions for the identification and quantitative determination of menthol and methyl salicylate in ointment Balsamum Mentholi Compositum on a hydrocarbon-ester base (vaseline-lanolin), have been established by using capillary gas chromatography with cool on-column injection and flame ionization detection (FID). The good separation of menthol (tR = 7.2 min), methyl salicylate (tR = 8.
