A/Vietnam/1203/2004 replicated most efficiently, followed by A/Texas/37/2024, then A/bovine/Ohio/B24OSU-342/2024. Induction of interferon-stimulated genes was lower with A/Texas/37/2024 and A/bovine/Ohio/B24OSU-342/2024, which may indicate a reduced disease severity of those viruses.

Zoonotic viruses with the ability to replicate in the human respiratory tract pose a threat to public health. Organoids, which are highly representative, multicellular models representing specific organs or tissues, can aid in our understanding of the pathogenesis, pathogenicity, transmissibility, and reservoir circulation dynamics of zoonotic viruses. Organoid studies can facilitate the rapid selection of antiviral therapies identification of potential reservoir species and intermediate hosts, and inform the selection of suitable laboratory animal models.

To study the intricacies of this metabolic interplay, we interrogated the heterogeneity of the glioblastoma TME using single-cell and multi-omics analyses and identified metabolically rewired tumor-associated macrophage (TAM) subpopulations with pro-tumorigenic properties. These TAM subsets, termed lipid-laden macrophages (LLMs) to reflect their cholesterol accumulation, are epigenetically rewired, display immunosuppressive features, and are enriched in the aggressive mesenchymal glioblastoma subtype.

Chromatin loops, which bring two distal loci of the same chromosome into close physical proximity, are the ubiquitous units of the three-dimensional genome. Recent advances in understanding the spatial organisation of chromatin suggest that several distinct mechanisms control chromatin interactions, such as loop extrusion by cohesin complexes, compartmentalisation by phase separation, direct protein-protein interactions and others. Here, we review different types of chromatin loops and highlight the factors and processes involved in their regulation.

Patients (aged >18 years) with hormone-sensitive recurrent PCa after radical prostatectomy or radiotherapy (brachytherapy or external beam radiotherapy), with involvement of ≤2 lymph nodes or local oligorecurrent disease within the pelvis as determined by PSMA positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT) are randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio between 6-month ADT (Arm A) or 6-month ADT plus RGS (Arm B).
