Skin injury is a growing issue among older adults, especially when admitted to an intensive care unit or long-term care facility. Skin prevention is a key point in dealing with this issue, and prompt and effective screening instruments should be used to identify risks and start preventive interventions and care. This descriptive study aimed to translate and examine the psychometric property and implement the Perineal Assessment Tool for incontinence associated dermatitis risk assessment.

Objective: To discover and consolidate transitional care interventions that can help older people avoid going to the emergency department.
Background: Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women; it is also the second-leading cause of death from cancer. Persistent pain after breast cancer surgery is a serious clinical problem that negatively impacts the health-related quality of life of breast cancer survivors. Although persistent post-surgical pain following breast cancer surgery has long been under-reported; however, it is less explored in Pakistan's geographical background.

Objective: To explore the predictors of knowledge of pressure injury (PI) prevention, attitudes on PI prevention, organization support for PI prevention, and the influence of a healthy work environment (HWE) on PI prevention practices among ICU nurses in China.
Methods: A descriptive, predictive, online survey was conducted among 510 ICU nurses in Guizhou province, China. A PI prevention knowledge questionnaire, PI prevention attitude questionnaire, organizational support for PI prevention questionnaire, HWE assessment tool, and PI prevention practice questionnaire were used for data collection.
Background: Pain after thoracic injury has further profound impacts on patients resulting in increased length of hospital stay and hospital care cost, and decreased quality of life. Utilization of the cutting-edge evidence on pain management that fits with the individual care context is therefore important.
Aim: To examine the effects of an evidenced-based pain management program on the worst pain intensity and lung vital capacity among acutely ill hospitalized chest trauma patients.
Intubated patients need specific oral care due to the use of endotracheal tubes. An oral nursing care guideline needs to be implemented to guide nurses in oral care in intubated patients. To test the effectiveness of oral nursing care guideline implementation.

Objective: This study aims to determine the factors predicting quality of life among Nepalese family caregivers of people with spinal cord injury (SCI) having low back pain.
Setting: Eight districts of the Bagmati Zone of Nepal.
Aim: The aim of this study was to examine the effectiveness of a foot care (FC) camp to enhance diabetic foot care knowledge (DFCK) and diabetic foot care behaviours (DFCB) among diabetic participants in Indonesia.
Methods: A two-group pre- and post-test quasi-experimental design was used in this study. A total of 72 participants completed a 5-week programme.
Background: One of many types of injuries following an earthquake is spinal cord injury (SCI) which is a life-long medically complex injury and high-cost health problem. Despite several negative consequences, some persons with SCI are resilient enough to achieve positive adjustment, greater acceptance, and better quality of life. Since resilience is influenced by several factors and can vary by context, it is beneficial to explore factors that affect the resilience of people who sustained spinal cord injury from the 2015 earthquake in Nepal.

Materials And Methods: Self-Report Questionnaire of Family Burden was used to collect the data from 100 family caregivers who cared for assault victims of the Southern unrest. The Barthel Index was used to assess the victims' capability to perform daily living activities.
Objective: To test the effect of clinically relevant duration of pressure loading (2 h) on sacral skin blood flow (SBF) and skin temperature in subjects with spinal cord injury (SCI) within 24 to 96 hours after injury compared with subjects with acute orthopedic trauma and healthy subjects.
Design: Three-group, repeated-measures, inception cohort.
Setting: Three acute care hospitals in southern Thailand.
Pressure ulcer incidence and sacral skin temperature (T(s)) were measured in hospitalized neurologically impaired Thai patients ( n = 17) positioned supine and then laterally. Pressure ulcer incidence within 2 weeks of admission was 47%. Regardless of reclining position, mean sacral T(s) in subjects who developed a pressure ulcer was higher ( p < .
