Background: Tumor endoprostheses are available as modular systems with which bone defects can be partially reconstructed, usually close to the joints, or as a total replacement of long tubular bones. As a result of continuously improved survival times, they are used with bone tumors, skeletal metastases and, increasingly, in revision arthroplasty.
Objectives: Presentation of the most common complications of tumor endoprostheses and a description of their management, including treatment recommendations.

In an effort to help resolve this debate, we use three-dimensional finite element analysis (FEA) to assess the biomechanical performance of mandibles in eleven ungulate taxa with well-established but distinct dietary preferences. Cranial nerves appear in the same configuration as in other sauropods, including derived features that appear to characterize titanosaurians, specifically, an abducens nerve canal that passes lateral to the pituitary fossa rather than entering it. Furthermore, the hypoglossal nerve exits the skull via a single foramen, consistent with most titanosaurians, while other saurischians, including the basal titanosauriform, Giraffatitan, contain multiple rootlets.
