Background: To enhance patient-tailored preconception risk assessment for women with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), knowledge on risk factors associated with adverse pregnancy outcomes is required. Therefore, we did a systematic review and meta-analysis to identify and provide unambiguous effect sizes of preconception predictors of pregnancy outcomes in women with SLE.
Methods: In this systematic review and meta-analysis, we searched PubMed and Embase for studies reporting preconception predictors of pregnancy outcomes in women with SLE, from database inception to Aug 22, 2023.
Objective: To assess the predictive accuracy of the sFlt-1/PlGF ratio cut-off 38 in addition to the standard-of-care spot urine protein/creatinine ratio (PCr) for multiple pregnancies in women with suspected pre-eclampsia.
Study Design: Post-hoc analysis of a prospective cohort study.
Main Outcome Measures: Primary outcome was the occurrence of pre-eclampsia in one and four weeks after presentation with suspected pre-eclampsia.
Cancer invasion and metastasis are known to be potentiated by the expression of aquaporins (AQPs). Likewise, the expression levels of AQPs have been shown to be prognostic for survival in patients and have a role in tumor growth, edema, angiogenesis, and tumor cell migration. The ability to generate spinal cord motor neurons from human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs) is of great use for modelling motor neuron-based diseases and cell-replacement therapies. A key step in the design of hPSC differentiation strategies aiming to produce motor neurons involves induction of the appropriate anteroposterior (A-P) axial identity, an important factor influencing motor neuron subtype specification, functionality, and disease vulnerability. Most current protocols for induction of motor neurons from hPSCs produce predominantly cells of a mixed hindbrain/cervical axial identity marked by expression of Hox paralogous group (PG) members 1-5, but are inefficient in generating high numbers of more posterior thoracic/lumbosacral Hox PG(8-13) spinal cord motor neurons.

Therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE) is indicated as a treatment for a wide array of diseases, extensively addressed in the Guidelines of the American Society for Apheresis. The superoxide reacts faster with (2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-1-yl)oxyl hydroxylamine while the peroxide, unlike the superoxide, proved capable of deformylating aldehydes. The system was found to represent a unique case, where even a switching between the two structures can be achieved via the solvent; its ability to coordinate at the position to the O ligand is decisive, as supported by density functional theory studies.

We quantify the association between early administration of tranexamic acid compared to late or no administration and severe acute maternal morbidity and blood loss among women suffering from persistent severe postpartum hemorrhage in a high-income country.
Methods And Findings: We performed a nationwide retrospective cohort study in 61 hospitals in the Netherlands.
Rationale: Inhaling medication in a standard body posture leads to impaction of particles in the sharp angle of the upper airway. Stretching the upper airway by extending the neck in a forward leaning body posture may improve pulmonary deposition. A single dose of inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) offers acute, but moderate protection against exercise induced bronchoconstriction (EIB).
