Initial management of complex pediatric disorders: prunebelly syndrome, posterior urethral valves.

Prunebelly syndrome and posterior urethral valves are conditions of detrusor dysfunction associated with antenatal urethral obstruction. The resultant severe hydroureteronephrosis and renal dysplasia initiate a sequence potentially leading to renal failure. This article reviews clinical features and explores neonatal evaluation and treatment for both conditions.
