Purpose: This study sought to quantify the tunnel widening associated with quadriceps tendon (QT) autograft after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) and compare it to bone-patellar tendon-bone (BTB) autografts.

Methods: A retrospective review of each ACLR performed at a single academic institution from 2011 to 2021 were reviewed. Subjects with repeat ipsilateral knee magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies performed after ACLR were included.

The shortage of suitable donor meniscus grafts from the knee and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) impedes treatments for millions of patients. Vitrification offers a promising solution by transitioning these tissues into a vitreous state at cryogenic temperatures, protecting them from ice crystal damage using high concentrations of cryoprotectant agents (CPAs). However, vitrification's success is hindered for larger tissues (>3 mL) due to challenges in CPA penetration.

Patellar instability is one of the most prevalent knee disorders, with dislocations occurring in 5 to 43 cases per 10,000 annually. Traumatic patellar dislocation can result in significant morbidity and is associated with patellofemoral chondral injuries and fractures, medial soft tissue disruption, pain, and reduced function, and can lead to patellofemoral osteoarthritis. Chronic and recurrent instability can lead to deformation and incompetence of the medial soft tissue stabilizers.

Endotracheal intubation is the standard of care to establish a secure airway; however, laryngeal airway management systems are increasingly being used in human patients for elective surgical procedures and in emergency settings. In this study, a double lumen, blind insertion airway device (BIAD) was placed in the esophagus of dogs and evaluated for its ability to ventilate the lungs. Initially, 10 euthanazed dogs were evaluated, followed by a group of 15 mixed breed dogs that were undergoing elective spay or neuter procedures, and a group of 10 healthy dogs.

Digital templating has been used as a method of reducing hospital costs by eliminating the need for acetate films. Digital templating techniques have been used for preoperative planning for total hip arthroplasty (THA). Fifty-four patients who underwent THA were selected for the study.

The purpose of this retrospective study was to report clinical and clinicopathologic findings, response to treatment, and outcome of hypothyroid dogs treated with levothyroxine intravenously (IV). Seven levothyroxine IV treated hypothyroid dogs and 799 other hypothyroid dogs examined during the same period were included. Rottweiler dogs were overrepresented in the group of levothyroxine IV-treated hypothyroid dogs compared with other hypothyroid dogs (P < .
