This work reports a robust protocol for the fabrication of thin films with highly ordered cylindrical nanopore arrays via the self-assembly of an asymmetric poly(styrene--4-vinylpyridine) (PS--P4VP) diblock copolymer blended with a P4VP homopolymer. The desired vertical domain orientation is achieved at the air-polymer interface by controlled solvent vapor annealing (SVA) using acetone, a solvent with weak selectivity for PS over P4VP, and at the substrate interface by functionalization using a hydroxy-terminated poly(2-vinylpyridine) (P2VP-OH) homopolymer brush.

The content of this article derives from a Health and Environmental Sciences Institute (HESI) consortium with a focus to improve cardiac safety during drug development. A detailed literature review was conducted to evaluate the concordance between nonclinical repolarization assays and the clinical thorough QT (TQT) study. Food and Drug Administration and HESI developed a joint database of nonclinical and clinical data, and a retrospective analysis of 150 anonymized drug candidates was reviewed to compare the performance of 3 standard nonclinical assays with clinical TQT study findings as well as investigate mechanism(s) potentially responsible for apparent discrepancies identified.

Here, we report the effect on HF with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) and HF with reduced EF (HFrEF) and their subsequent outcomes.
Methods: Incident ADHF was defined as hospitalization or emergency department visit, confirmed, and formally adjudicated by a blinded events committee using standardized protocols.

Objective: To evaluate the association of an automated measure of frailty integrated within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) with post-operative outcomes for nonemergency surgeries.
Importance: Advance care planning (ACP), especially among vulnerable older adults, remains underused in primary care. Additionally, many ACP initiatives fail to integrate directly into the electronic health record (EHR), resulting in infrequent and disorganized documentation.
Objective: To determine whether a nurse navigator-led ACP pathway combined with a health care professional-facing EHR interface improves the occurrence of ACP discussions and their documentation within the EHR.
Background: Physical activity (PA) preserves mobility, but few practices screen older adults for mobility impairment or counsel on PA.

Introduction: During the COVID-19 pandemic, health care systems and safety providers have faced an unprecedented challenge of limited access to personal protective equipment (PPE) to conduct patient and public care.
