A biodegradable copolymer, P(LA-co-GMA), has been synthesized, featuring curable groups that allow it to self-cure and graft with other vinyl monomers.
Using UV-assisted reactions, the copolymer was grafted with pH-responsive polyacrylamide (PAAm) through acrylamide and a photoinitiator, resulting in materials with enhanced properties.
Analysis techniques like H NMR and FTIR determined the grafted AAm content, indicating that a benzophenone initiator produced higher grafting levels compared to camphorquinone, while the degree of conversion showed the opposite trend.
