[General anesthesia in eye operations (author's transl)].

This retrospective study reports on ten years' experience of general anesthesia in ophthalmosurgery (4080 cases) at the General Hospital in Linz, Austria. The majority of patients in ophthalmosurgery are infants, children and geriatric patients confronting the anesthesiologist with specific problems. Anesthesiologic techniques and complications are discussed.
