We describe the identification of a candidate positron emission tomography (PET) imaging agent for the NLRP3 protein. NLRP3 plays a critical role in the immune system and has proven a difficult target for the development of imaging agents due to its low and cell-specific expression profile. A recently described series of pyridazine-based inhibitors, with improved permeability and brain-penetration properties, was used as a starting point for the development of a suitable PET imaging agent.

In response to member demands for resources to support teaching and learning related to planetary health, the Consortium of Universities for Global Health (CUGH) convened a working group to develop a set of planetary health learning objectives (PHLOs) that would complement the existing ten CUGH global health learning objectives. The eight PHLOs feature Earth system changes, planetary boundaries, and climate change science; ecological systems and One Health; human health outcomes; risk assessment, vulnerability, and resilience; policy, governance, and laws (including the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement); roles and responsibilities of governments, businesses, civil society organisations, other institutions, communities, and individuals for mitigation, adaptation, conservation, restoration, and sustainability; environmental ethics, human rights, and climate justice; and environmental literacy and communication.

This study aims to identify the drivers of a healthy environment that promotes the well-being of women employed in hospitals.
Materials & Methods: This qualitative study used purposive sampling to recruit a total of 48 working women across a diverse range of participants with different job categories and socio-demographic statuses.
Previously, we described the synthesis of stable, bicyclic examples of the rather rare diazacyclobutene (DCB) motif by means of a cycloaddition between triazolinediones and electron-rich thiolated alkynes. Here, we report the investigation of the cycloaddition of triazolinediones with related electron-rich yne-carbamates and carbazole-alkynes. Bicyclic DCBs arising from yne-carbamates were isolated in 8-65% yield, while those arising from carbazole-alkynes were isolated in 28-59% yield.

This study evaluates the effectiveness of a novel course implemented in an academic radiology department training program over a 5-year period designed to educate future radiologists on the fundamentals of medical innovation.
Materials And Methods: A pre- and post-course survey and examination were administered to residents who participated in the innovation course (MESH Core) from 2018 to 2022.
Sharks are particularly susceptible to bioaccumulation due to their life history characteristics and trophic position within marine ecosystems. Despite this, studies of bioaccumulation cover only a small proportion of extant species.
