Background And Objective: The role of prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-based positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT) in addition to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for local staging of prostate cancer (PC) has been poorly addressed so far. Our aim was to assess the diagnostic accuracy of PSMA PET/CT and MRI, alone and combined, for detection of extraprostatic extension (EPE) and seminal vesicle invasion (SVI) in PC.
Methods: We conducted a multicenter retrospective study evaluating patients undergoing PSMA PET/CT and MRI before radical prostatectomy.
Background: Renal quantitative measurements are important descriptors for assessing kidney function. We developed a deep learning-based method for automated kidney measurements from computed tomography (CT) images.
Methods: The study datasets comprised potential kidney donors (n = 88), both contrast-enhanced (Dataset 1 CE) and noncontrast (Dataset 1 NC) CT scans, and test sets of contrast-enhanced cases (Test set 2, n = 18), cases from a photon-counting (PC)CT scanner reconstructed at 60 and 190 keV (Test set 3 PCCT, n = 15), and low-dose cases (Test set 4, n = 8), which were retrospectively analyzed to train, validate, and test two networks for kidney segmentation and subsequent measurements.
In hereditary leiomyomatosis and renal cell carcinoma syndrome, fumarate hydratase-deficient renal cell carcinomas typically present as aggressive, unilateral, often cystic masses with heterogeneous enhancement. These tumors can metastasize early, making appropriate imaging and staging critical for diagnosis and management. When a renal lesion suspected of RCC is identified in a patient with cutaneous and uterine leiomyomas, HLRCC should be evaluated, which is important for future genetic counseling.

Phase 1-2 trials of adoptive cell therapy with tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) have shown promising responses, but data from phase 3 trials are lacking to determine the role of TILs in treating advanced melanoma.
Methods: In this phase 3, multicenter, open-label trial, we randomly assigned patients with unresectable stage IIIC or IV melanoma in a 1:1 ratio to receive TIL or anti-cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen 4 therapy (ipilimumab at 3 mg per kilogram of body weight).
Purpose: Nomograms predicting side-specific extraprostatic extension (EPE) may be applied to reduce positive surgical margin (PSM) rates in patients planned for radical prostatectomy (RP). This study evaluates the impact of implementing an externally validated nomogram for side-specific EPE on PSM rate and degree of nerve-sparing.
