Online survey about the current status of CT protocols in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in the year 2023/2024. Moreover, the usage of structured reporting using LI-RADS and mRECIST was surveyed and the results were compared with a survey from 2020.Radiologists working in outpatient or inpatient care in Germany were invited.

The survey was conducted between 10/2022 and 06/2023 using the SurveyMonkey web tool.

Nonetheless, one in eight cancer cases still affects the colon or rectum. The prognosis has improved, with the relative 5‑year survival rate for CRC being approximately 65%.

It is characterized by imaging morphologic and histologic features and is associated with extrapancreatic manifestations in type 1 IgG 4-associated disease. Symptoms and findings almost always improve with administration of steroids.

Methods: A total of 28 patients (27 were evaluable) with advanced BTCs who progressed on at least one prior systemic therapy were enrolled and were treated with trifluridine/tipiracil 25 mg/m2 (days 1-5 of 14-day cycle) and irinotecan 180 mg/m2 (day 1 of the 14-day cycle). The primary endpoint for the study was 16-week progression-free survival (PFS16) rate.
Background: MR-enterography/enteroclysis (MRE) is increasingly used for primary diagnosis, detection of complications, and monitoring of patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Standardization of reporting is relevant to ensure quality of the methodology and to improve communication between different faculties. The current manuscript describes the features that are required for optimized reporting of MRE in IBD.

January 2023
A number of philosophers and theologians have recently challenged the common assumption that it would be impossible for God to cause humans actions which are free in the libertarian or incompatibilist sense. Perhaps the most sophisticated version of this challenge is due to W. Matthews Grant.

Standardization of reporting is relevant to ensure quality of the methodology and to improve communication between different specialties. The current manuscript describes the features required for optimized reporting of intestinal ultrasound findings in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

PolyPEPI1018 is an off-the-shelf, multi-peptide vaccine derived from 7 tumor-associated antigens (TAA) frequently expressed in mCRC. This study assessed PolyPEPI1018 combined with first-line maintenance therapy in patients with MSS mCRC.

In the case of disseminated small masses, chronic inflammation and granulomatous diseases, such as tuberculosis and sarcoidosis should be considered in the differential diagnostics. Solid masses in the kidneys should always be further clarified, with the exception of a fat-rich angiomyolipoma.

The guidelines were organized and led by the German Society for Digestive and Metabolic Diseases (DGVS). In this article we would like to present the central content and innovations related to the radiological diagnostics of ductal pancreatic adenocarcinoma.

Incidental findings are frequently not part of the primary inquiry from referring physicians but it is obligatory to make a diagnosis and to stipulate the need for further clarification. A multitude of incidental findings in the intestinal lumen, in the intestinal wall and in the adjacent mesentery or subperitoneal space are shown in CT and MRI of the GI tract.

Incidental findings are frequently not part of the primary inquiry from referring physicians but it is obligatory to make a diagnosis and to stipulate the need for further clarification.
Radiological Standard Procedures: A multitude of incidental findings in the intestinal lumen, in the intestinal wall and in the adjacent mesenterium or subperitoneal space are shown in CT and MRI.
Purpose: To analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 on the radiological imaging volume in Germany.
Materials Und Methods: In this retrospective multicenter study, we analyzed CT and MRI examinations of 7 radiology institutes across Germany from January to December 2020. The imaging volume was compared to 2019 (Wilcoxon-Mann-Whitney test).
Clinical Problem: Imaging plays a major role to differentiate interstitial edematous from necrotic pancreatitis and to describe relevant local complications for proper patient management and decision-making in acute pancreatitis.
Standard Radiological Procedures: The revised Atlanta classification 2012 of acute pancreatitis divides patients into mild, moderately severe and severe groups. Computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are well established for diagnosis and follow-up of acute pancreatitis and its complications METHODOLOGICAL INNOVATIONS AND ASSESSMENT: Based on the revised Atlanta classification, CT and MRI allow for adequate categorization of interstitial edematous and necrotic pancreatitis.
Introduction: Neurogenic dysphagia defines swallowing disorders caused by diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system, neuromuscular transmission, or muscles. Neurogenic dysphagia is one of the most common and at the same time most dangerous symptoms of many neurological diseases. Its most important sequelae include aspiration pneumonia, malnutrition and dehydration, and affected patients more often require long-term care and are exposed to an increased mortality.

Objectives: This article presents the most relevant recommendations relating to radiological imaging from the new "S3 guideline for pancreatitis".
Materials And Methods: The guideline was developed by the DGVS (German Society for Digestive and Metabolic Diseases).
Due to demographic transition, neurogenic dysphagia has become an increasingly recognized problem. Patients suffering from dysphagia often get caught between different clinical disciplines. In this study, we implemented a defined examination protocol for evaluating the whole swallowing process by functional endoscopy.

After continuous evolution, the revised Atlanta classification was published in 2012. In this updated classification, imaging aspects were better integrated and unclear terms were better defined.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFDue to its excellent intrinsic soft tissue contrast, magnetic resonance imaging allows excellent visualization and anatomical separation of therapy-relevant risk structures such as the mesorectal fascia, local lymph nodes, and vascular structures in patients with rectal carcinoma. This makes magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) a valuable evaluation method for further therapeutic stratification. In particular, MRI is indispensable for the decision to refrain from neoadjuvant therapy and to choose a primary surgical approach.
