Purpose: We sought to investigate the expression of MALAT1, plasma brain natriuretic peptide, and Tei index in sepsis-induced myocardial injury.

Methods: The current retrospective analysis focused on 146 sepsis patients admitted to our hospital from February 2021 to March 2023. Based on the presence or absence of myocardial injury, the patients were divided into two groups: the sepsis group (n = 80) and the sepsis-induced myocardial injury group (n = 66).

Context: Sepsis is a systemic, comprehensive inflammatory response that can induce serious complications for patients. No uniform definition and diagnostic criteria exist internationally for sepsis related to myocardial injury. Studying factors affecting prognosis for sepsis patients with myocardial injury can be helpful in providing a theoretical basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment.

Despites numbers of case-control studies working on this area, the actual relationship of gene generic variant rs11549465 C>T imposing on cancer susceptibility remains unveiled. To get a better understanding of such relationship, this meta-analysis was carried out by incorporating all eligible case-control studies.
