The aim of this study is to explore the timing and method of endovascular intervention for iliac vein compression syndrome (IVCS) with thrombus. Data from 111 patients with IVCS, complicated acute deep vein thrombosis (DVT), or post-thrombotic syndrome (PTS) who underwent endovascular interventions were analyzed retrospectively. Patients were divided into Group A (DVT group), including 56 patients with IVCS and iliofemoral DVT, with or without femoropopliteal DVT, with sudden lower limb swelling, and Group B (PTS group) included 55 patients with IVCS and PTS, including 18 with lower extremity wet ulcers and 32 with lower limb infections.

Background: Connexins (Cxs) are reported to participate in atherosclerosis associated intimal hyperplasia (IH), while their function involved in the balloon injury (BI) induced IH and restenosis is less reported.

Methods: Forty-eight male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly assigned to not injured (NI) group and BI group, which were further administrated with ERK-inhibitor U0216 and Akt-inhibitor MIK2206. Western blot and RT-PCR were utilized to detect the expression of Cx30, Cx37, Cx40, and Cx43 at 6 hours, 24 hours, 7 days, and 14 days post-surgery.

Our previous research has demonstrated that nicotinic acid (NA) might suppress the angiogenesis by modulating the expression of angiogenesis factors and promoting the cytoskeleton remodeling. However, the underlying mechanism need to be further elucidated. The intracellular Ca concentration was measured by a [Ca ] detection kit.

: Aldo-keto reductase family 1, member C2 (AKR1C2) gene encodes for a member of the AKR superfamily and participates in the metabolism of various drugs. Moreover, tumor and normal tissues exhibit an evident difference in the expression level of this gene. : We downloaded and analyzed AKR1C2 expression level and the data consisting of the clinicopathological features of 490 papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) tumor tissues and 59 normal thyroid tissues from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) cohort.

Objectives: Few studies on prognostic indicators for primary thyroid lymphoma (PTL) have been presented due to the uncommon nature of the tumor. This is the first study to explore the independent prognostic factors in the 2 PTL subtypes.

Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 1,653 cases of PTL.

Background: Preoperative diagnosis of central lymph node metastasis (CLNM) poses to be a challenge in clinical node-negative papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC). This research work aims at investigating the association existing between BRAF mutation, clinicopathological factors, ultrasound characteristics, and CLNM, in addition to establishing a predictive model for CLNM in PTMC.

Materials And Methods: The study included 673 PTMC patients, already undergone total thyroidectomy or lobectomy with prophylactic central lymph node dissection.

Aim: To investigate the clinical effects of on papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) and explore the relationship between expression and mutation.

Methods: The data of 69 patients subjected to fine-needle aspiration biopsy in our hospital and 486 patient data downloaded from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database were used. Univariate and multivariate analyses were performed.

BACKGROUND Skip metastasis is defined as metastasis incident to the lateral compartment without involvement of the central compartment, and is generally unpredictable in papillary thyroid cancer (PTC). The present study aimed to investigate the frequency and predictor value of skip metastasis in PTC patients. MATERIAL AND METHODS A total of 355 patients diagnosed with thyroid cancer who had received a prior complete thyroidectomy with bilateral central neck and ipsilateral lateral neck lymph node dissection were enrolled in this study.

Background: Among all kinds of breast cancer, triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is the most aggressive, with the poorest prognosis and highest mortality rates. Thus, novel biomarkers that personalize the therapeutic regimen and evaluate prognosis for TNBC patients should be determined.

Methods: We analyzed the cystatin E/M (CST6) expression profiles of 161 TNBC tissues and 14 noncancerous tissues through multiple statistical analyses.

Background: Thyroid cancer is a common malignant tumor of the endocrine system. Its incidence has increased continuously worldwide for the past three decades. With advanced sequencing technology, we discovered that GABRB2 gene is overexpressed in tumor tissues and closely associated with vertebrate nervous systems.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the prognostic value of lymph node ratio (LNR), number of removed lymph nodes (RLNs), and number of negative lymph nodes (NLNs) in Chinese patients with triple negative breast cancer.

Methods: The study cohort comprised 394 breast cancer patients with the triple negative subtype. The log-rank test and Cox proportional hazards analysis was employed to identify prognostic clinicopathological factors.

Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is a highly aggressive tumor subtype lacking effective prognostic indicators or therapeutic targets. Therefore, finding a novel molecular biomarker for TNBC to achieve target therapy and predict its prognosis is crucial in preventing inappropriate treatment. Regulator of G-protein signaling (RGS) families of protein can negatively regulate signaling of heterotrimeric G proteins and are known to be upregulated in various tumors.

Background: Clinicians are confronted with an increasing number of patients with thyroid nodules. Reliable preoperative diagnosis of thyroid nodules remains a challenge because of inconclusive cytological examination of fine-needle aspiration biopsies. Although molecular analysis of thyroid tissue has shown promise as a diagnostic tool in recent years, it has not been successfully applied in routine clinical use, particularly in Chinese patients.

Background: The objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of preoperative endoscopic localization of colorectal cancer and tracing lymph nodes by carbon nanoparticle tattooing in laparoscopic colorectal cancer surgery.

Methods: From January 2013 to December 2014, 54 patients with colorectal cancer were recruited and divided into experimental (n = 27) and control (n = 27) groups. The patients in the experimental group were localized preoperatively by endoscopic carbon nanoparticle tattooing, whereas patients in the control group were not tattooed.
