Although epidemiological evidence has linked maternal exposure to air pollution with adverse birth outcomes, the association between exposure to fine particulate matter (PM) and the risk of total birth defects in highly polluted developing regions remains limited. The objective of this study was to assess the relationship between maternal exposure to PM before and during pregnancy and the occurrence of birth defects. This study included 16,080 births with birth defects and 567,483 controls born between 2014 and 2019 in 14 cities in Liaoning Province, China.

It affects patient appearance and is noted for its chronicity, recurrence, and resistance to treatment. Effective rosacea treatment requires repairing the skin barrier, reducing inflammation, and promoting vasoconstriction.

Fermentation, as a green and efficient bioprocessing technique, has been shown to enhance the biological activity of food ingredients. Soluble dietary fiber isolated from plants is thought to have the potential to prevent and alleviate ulcerative colitis.

Scutellarin (Scu) exhibits neuroprotective effects, but little is known about its underlying mechanism. Therefore, we explored its protective effect on CIRI and the underlying mechanism.

Targeting leucocyte-mediated inflammation is an important strategy for MI/R therapy. Iminostilbene (ISB), a simple dibenzoazepine small molecule compound, has a strong anti-neurodegenerative effect.

However, some patients obtain little benefit and experience unnecessary toxicities from IC. We intended to develop a gene-expression signature that can identify beneficiaries of IC.

We aimed to identify a gene expression pattern for individual distant metastatic risk assessment in patients with locoregionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
Methods: In this multicentre, retrospective, cohort analysis, we included 937 patients with locoregionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma from three Chinese hospitals: the Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center (Guangzhou, China), the Affiliated Hospital of Guilin Medical University (Guilin, China), and the First People's Hospital of Foshan (Foshan, China).
