The tumor microenvironment (TME) can aid tumor cells in evading surveillance and clearance by immune cells, creating an internal environment conducive to tumor cell growth. Consequently, there is a growing focus on researching anti-tumor immunity through the regulation of immune cells within the TME. Various bioactive compounds in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) are known to alter the immune balance by modulating the activity of immune cells in the TME.

Detection of Hydroxychloroquine Retinopathy via Hyperspectral and Deep Learning through Ophthalmoscope Images.

Hydroxychloroquine, also known as quinine, is primarily utilized to manage various autoimmune diseases, such as systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, and Sjogren's syndrome. However, this drug has side effects, including diarrhea, blurred vision, headache, skin itching, poor appetite, and gastrointestinal discomfort. Blurred vision is caused by irreversible retinal damages and can only be mitigated by reducing hydroxychloroquine dosage or discontinuing the drug under a physician's supervision.

Optical Identification of Diabetic Retinopathy Using Hyperspectral Imaging.

The severity of diabetic retinopathy (DR) is directly correlated to changes in both the oxygen utilization rate of retinal tissue as well as the blood oxygen saturation of both arteries and veins. Therefore, the current stage of DR in a patient can be identified by analyzing the oxygen content in blood vessels through fundus images. This enables medical professionals to make accurate and prompt judgments regarding the patient's condition.

The concordance and discordance of diabetic kidney disease and retinopathy in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus: A cross-sectional study of 26,809 patients from 5 primary hospitals in China.

Introduction: Diabetic kidney disease (DKD) and diabetic retinopathy (DR) share similar pathophysiological mechanisms. However, signs of DKD may be present at diagnosis of diabetes without retinopathy. Risk factors for the development of DKD and DR may not be identical.

Herein, we present a functional ophthalmic dressing that can permeate the skin tissues of the eyes through oxygen and hydrogen to improve the symptoms of floaters.

[Analysis on the therapeutic effect of acupuncture of Jiaji (EX-B 2) for treatment of cervical hypertension].

Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect of acupuncture therapy for treatment of cervical hypertension.

Methods: Sixty cases of cervical hypertension patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group by using random table method. For patients of treatment group bilateral cervical Jiaji (EX-B 2) were punctured, and for those of control group, Fengchi (GB 20), Taichong (LR 3), Quchi (LI 11), Zusanli (ST 36) and Sanyinjiao (SP 9) were punctured.
