Positive Association Between Serum Insulin-Like Growth Factor-1 and Cognition in Patients with Cerebral Small Vessel Disease.

Cognitive impairment is one of the main complications of cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD). Serum insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) might serve as a marker for the risk of cognitive decline in patients with CSVD. We investigated the association of IGF-1 with the development of cognitive impairment in patients with CSVD.
