Background: Some acute ischemic stroke (AIS) patients due to large-vessel occlusion, who underwent endovascular thrombectomy (EVT), continue to experience unfavorable outcomes. Furthermore, the impact of internal carotid artery (ICA) tortuosity remains uncertain. This study aimed to determine the value of ICA tortuosity and clinical features in predicting 3-month unfavorable outcome and early neurological deterioration (END) after EVT in AIS patients through nomograms.

However, its widespread application is hindered by the high sequencing depth and large sample sizes required, especially for genomic selection (GS) reliant on precise phenotype prediction from high-density genotype data. To address this, DPImpute (Dual-Phase Impute) is developed, an two-step imputation pipeline enabling accurate whole-genome SNP genotyping under ultra-low coverage whole-genome sequencing (ulcWGS) depths, small testing sample sizes, and limited reference populations.

Adiponectin (ADN) regulates DNA synthesis, cell apoptosis and cell cycle to participate in the pathology and progression of glioblastoma. The present study aimed to further explore the effect of ADN on temozolomide (TMZ) resistance in glioblastoma and the underlying mechanism of action. Glioblastoma cell lines (U251 and U87-MG cells) were treated with ADN and TMZ at different concentrations; subsequently, 3.

However, there is currently no universally accepted standard for endoscopic surgery. Therefore, we introduced antireflux mucosal valvuloplasty (ARMV), an innovative endoscopic treatment for GERD.

While core autophagy-related proteins (ATGs) and other regulators involved in autophagosome biogenesis in plants have been extensively studied, the specific components regulating plant autophagosome motility remain elusive. In this study, using TurboID-based proximity labeling, we identify the retromer subcomplex comprising sorting nexin 1 (SNX1), SNX2a, and SNX2b as interacting partners of ATG8.

However, the wide utilization of existing detection biosensors is limited by bulky and expensive instruments, such as Raman spectroscopy and electrochemical station. Herein, a liquid-solid triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG)-based DNA barcode detection biosensor is proposed, which consists of water flow, fluid channel, and PDMS film attached by specifically designed capture probe.

But the role of PKM2 in cerebral ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury remains unknown.
Methods: Mice model of middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) and model of oxygen-glucose deprivation (OGD) injury in cultured neurons were established.
Background And Aims: The inflammatory nutritional status is widely associated with the long-term prognosis of non-fatal stroke. The objective of this study is to examine the correlation between the C-reactive protein to albumin ratio (CAR), a new marker indicating both inflammatory and nutritional status, and the overall mortality rate among stroke patients.
Methods And Results: Data were obtained from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) database and corresponding public-use mortality data from the linked National Death Index (NDI).
Sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) represent a promising energy storage technology with great safety. Because of their high operating potential, superior structural stability, and prominent thermal stability, polyanion-type phosphates have garnered significant interest in superior prospective cathode materials for SIBs. Nevertheless, the disadvantages of poor intrinsic electronic conductivity, sluggish kinetics, and volume variation during sodiation/desodiation remain great challenges for satisfactory rate performance and cycle stability, which severely hinder their further practical applications.

Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the differences between patient groups with favorable modified Rankin Scale (mRS ≤ 2) and unfavorable (mRS > 2) prognosis, and examined the association between intraoperative BPV and short-term prognosis.
Results: The intraoperative maximum systolic blood pressure (SBP, = 0.
The droplet electricity generator (DEG) is a solid-liquid triboelectric nanogenerator with transistor-inspired bulk effect, which is regarded as an effective strategy for raindrop energy harvesting. However, further enhancement of DEG output voltage is necessary to enable its widespread applications. Here, high-entropy ceramics are integrated into the design of DEG intermediate layer for the first time, achieving a high output voltage of 525 V.

Whereas certain organelles use local hydrolytic enzymes for limited remodeling, most of the pathways that control the partial or complete dismantling of organelles rely on vacuolar degradation. Specifically, selective autophagic pathways play a crucial role in recognizing and sorting plant organelle cargo for vacuolar clearance, especially under cellular stress conditions induced by factors like heat, drought, and damaging light.

Objective: To compare the effectiveness of three surgical methods in the treatment of Pauwels type Ⅲ femoral neck fracture in young and middle-aged patients, in order to provide reference for clinical selection of appropriate surgical methods.
Methods: The clinical data of 103 patients with Pauwels type Ⅲ femoral neck fracture who met the selection criteria between June 2018 and December 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. The fractures were fixed with hollow screws in an inverted triangular shape (37 cases, hollow screw group), hollow screws in an inverted triangular shape combined with eccentric shaft screw (34 cases, eccentric shaft screw group), and hollow screws in an inverted triangular shape combined with medial support plate (32 cases, support plate group).
Human health and the environment face significant challenges of air pollution, which is predominantly caused by PM2.5 or PM10 particles. Existing control methods often require elevated energy consumption or bulky high-voltage electrical equipment.

Cathodal bilateral tDCS (BtDCS) is a modified tDCS approach established by us recently. Because selenium (Se) plays a crucial role in cerebral ischaemic injury, we investigated whether cathodal BtDCS conferred neuroprotection via regulating Se-dependent signalling in rat cerebral ischaemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury.

Methods: Using the Global Burden of Disease Study 2019 (GBD 2019) database, research was conducted on the 11 primary risk factors for the mortality rates of IS in China from 1990 to 2019. This study employed joinpoint regression software and the age-period-cohort method to evaluate the trends of mortality rates divided by age, period, and cohort over time.

We prepared CsPbBr and CsNdCl QDs via hot injection methods and mixed in various ratios at room temperature for color blending. Nd-doped CsPb(Cl/Br) QDs showed a blueshift in emission, and the photoluminescence quantum yields (PLQY, Φ) were lower in the 460-470 nm range due to surface halogen and Cs vacancies.
