Objective: The concurrent presence of multiple chronic diseases, termed multimorbidity, is increasingly prevalent among patients with chronic illnesses. This phenomenon is particularly pronounced in middle-aged women, yet has not received adequate attention. The objective of this study was to investigate the pattern of multimorbidity and its changes over time in perimenopausal women.

Traditional signal classification technology uses signal time and frequency domain characteristics as the identification basis. This study proposes a technique for visualizing sound signals using the Wigner-Ville distribution (WVD) method to extract vibration signal characteristics and artificial neural networks as the signal classification basis.

This study aimed to explore the anti-hyperglycaemic effect of the Chinese Modified Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension diet combined with 23% low-sodium salt and meal packs in patients with hypertension and type 2 diabetes.

Methods: We conducted a randomized controlled single-blinded trial with a semi-open design; 100 participants were randomly assigned to Group A (control), Group B (23% low-sodium salt), and Group C (meal packs) for 8 weeks of dietary intervention.

Among these compounds, several exhibit the potential to serve as fluorescent dyes for biological applications.

This study reported a new formulation of alginate-quercetin (AQ) based US through a co-axial extrusion procedure for the first time to afford a 26 cm long US with 3.2×1.

[Review of stimulation parameters of scalp-electroacupuncture for ischemic stroke].

Scalp-electroacupuncture (scalp-EA) is an effective traditional Chinese medicine characteristic therapy for ischemic stroke and frequently employed in clinical practice, but there is still lack of normative standard of stimulation parameters. After searching the relevant articles, we summed up the stimulation parameters of scalp-EA for ischemic stroke from 5 aspects： 1) stimulating frequency (Low frequency is better when continuous waveform is used, and high frequency is better when dense-sparce waveform or discontinuous waveform employed), 2) waveform (Dense-sparce or discontinuous waves are better than continuous waves), 3) intensity (A tolerable stimulation strength may result in better outcomes), 4) needle retention time (In general, the needle retention time is 30 min, but still needing being determined), treatment course (Some studies showed that once a day EA for 3 continuous days is effective, 7 days, significantly effective, 14 days, further enhanced in the therapeutic effect), and 5) intervention time window (Generally, EA intervention within 6 h was mostly effective, shown by animal study). However, these parameters do not exist independently, and they can influence and interact with each other.

To reduce the local scour around the spur dike, the U-shaped collar is proposed in this study. The influence of the collar's length, width, and porosity on the local scour reduction in clear water is studied by model tests and numerical simulations. Experimental studies show that the collar has a significant effect on reducing the local scour.
