Objective: The body roundness index (BRI) and circadian syndrome (CircS) are considered new risk factors for cardiovascular disease (CVD), yet it remains uncertain whether elevated BRI is associated with CVD incidence in CircS patients. In this study, we investigated the association between BRI and CVD occurrence among CircS participants.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective cohort study involving 8,888 participants aged ≥45 years from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS 2011-2020 wave).
Powdery mildew (caused by Blumeria graminis f. sp. tritici) limits grain production and reduces grain quality in wheat.

Methods: Age-standardised rates per 100,000 population for prevalence, annual incidence and YLDs were compared across regions and countries, as well as the socio-demographic index (SDI). Trends were expressed as percentage changes (PC) and estimates were reported with uncertainty intervals (UI).
The integration of aptamer chemistry with innovative functional materials such as nanozymes offers new opportunities for the development of the superior electrochemical biosensors. Herein, we introduce a rod-like nanocomposite of Ce-MOF-808@CeO bearing intense nanozymatic activity that prepared through in-situ partial oxidation of Ce-MOF-808 to CeO. Then, the aptamer for tetracycline (TC-Apt) with 5'-PO end was anchored on Ce-MOF-808@CeO modified screen-printed electrode, thereby assembling a label-free electrochemical aptasensor.

Magnesium (Mg) metals, with their excellent biocompatibility and favorable osteoconductivity, osteoinductivity, and osseointegration properties, hold great promise for addressing this issue. However, the rapid degradation rate of magnesium restricts its clinical application.

Seed germination is an essential stage in the life cycle of flowering plants, influencing the field emergence rates of seeds. Consequently, the role of GmAOC4 in soybean seed germination was investigated in the present study. Results suggested that the chloroplast-localized GmAOC4 exhibited high expression levels in the roots and young pods and during the seed germination stage in soybeans.

ZEA and its metabolites have estrogen-like activity and can competitively bind to estrogen receptors, causing reproductive dysfunction and damage to reproductive organs. The toxicity mechanism of ZEA mainly inhibits the antioxidant pathway and antioxidant enzyme activity, induces cell cycle arrest and DNA damage, and blocks the process of cellular autophagy to produce toxic effects.

However, its effectiveness is hindered by acquired resistance and poor bioavailability. Carrier-free nanodrugs are a research hotspot due to their efficient targeting, high drug loading capacity, and the absence of any excipients.

Aquatic animals often exhibit glucose intolerance following a glucose load, and understanding the mechanisms of glucose uptake is crucial for elucidating the underlying processes. Sodium-dependent glucose transporter 1 (SGLT1) plays a crucial role in the process of intestinal glucose absorption and transport in vertebrates, but there is limited information about its function in crustaceans. This study identified the SGLT1 gene (named MrSGLT1) from Macrobrachium rosenbergii.

It is of great significance to find productive approach to realize the recognition of enantiomers, which is a key issue in biochemical and pharmaceutical fields. Nowadays, chiral identification can be successfully achieved according to the discrepancies of special signals correlated with different enantiomers of multiple electrode structures.

In fundus images, precisely segmenting retinal blood vessels is important for diagnosing eye-related conditions, such as diabetic retinopathy and hypertensive retinopathy or other eye-related disorders. In this work, we propose an enhanced U-shaped network with dual-attention, named DAU-Net, divided into encoder and decoder parts. Wherein, we replace the traditional convolutional layers with ConvNeXt Block and SnakeConv Block to strengthen its recognition ability for different forms of blood vessels while lightweight the model.

Introduction: Colorectal cancer (CRC) remains a serious threat to humans worldwide. In this study, we used bibliometric analysis of the scientific literature to assess the trends and prospects of nanotechnology applications in CRC.
Materials And Methods: We used the Web of Science Core Collection database to screen relevant publications on nanotechnology and CRC from 2004 to 2023 based on the inclusion criteria.
Triple‑negative breast cancer (TNBC), a highly malignant breast cancer subtype with a pronounced metastatic propensity, forms the focus of the present investigation. MDA‑MB‑231, a prevalently utilized TNBC cell line in cancer research, was employed. In accordance with the tumour angiogenesis theory, cancer cells are capable of instigating angiogenesis and the formation of a novel vascular system within the tumour microenvironment, which subsequently sustains malignant proliferation and metastasis.
