The rapid colorimetric detection of neomycin sulfate has been achieved using polyvinyl pyrrolidone shell coated gold nanoparticle (Au@PVP NPs) sol. Sulfated oligosaccharide of Gracilaria lemaneiformis (GLSO) was prepared from sulfated polysaccharides which possessed antiallergic activity by degradation with high temperature and pressure combined with vitamin C treatment. The present study demonstrated that GLSO could attenuate food anaphylaxis, and inhibit the production of immunoglobulin E, histamine, and related cytokines in both prevention and therapy ovalbumin-induced mice model. Additionally, the gut microbiota analysis revealed that GLSO markedly rescued OVA-induced changes in the Firmicutes to Bacteroidetes ratio.

Alpha-chain subunits were separated from tilapia skin gelatin using ultrafiltration, and the physicochemical properties of obtained subunits were investigated. As a result, α1-subunit and α2-subunit could be successfully separated by 100 kDa MWCO regenerated cellulose membranes and 150 kDa MWCO polyethersulfone membranes, respectively. The effect of blend ratio and pH on the physical properties of surimi-gelatin composite films was investigated.
