We describe a new strategy for aminoarylation of alkenes by copper-catalyzed smiles rearrangement using -benzoylhydroxylamines as the amine reagent. This method affords various β-amino amide derivatives possessing a quaternary carbon center with wide functional group tolerance and high regioselectivity.
