The proper assembly and maturation of collagens necessitate the orchestrated hydroxylation and glycosylation of multiple lysyl residues in procollagen chains. Dysfunctions in this multistep modification process can lead to severe collagen-associated diseases. To elucidate the coordination of lysyl processing activities, we determine the cryo-EM structures of the enzyme complex formed by LH3/PLOD3 and GLT25D1/ColGalT1, designated as the KOGG complex.

Accordingly, the hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection can be blocked by inhibiting the binding of the hepatitis B surface pre-S1/pre-S2 antigen to the hepatocyte receptor NTCP, but the clinical cure rate of pre-S-based vaccines for CHB is limited. : In this study, we designed and prepared multivalent hepatitis B therapeutic mRNA vaccines encoding three hepatitis B surface antigen proteins (L, M, and S) at the cell membrane, verified via in vitro transfection and expression experiments.

Corin is a protease that activates atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP), an essential hormone for normal blood pressure and cardiac function. The goal of this study is to investigate a potential corin and ANP function in regulating liver glycogen metabolism and glucose homeostasis.

Methods: Firstly, the paper segments the measured object from the carrier plane. Secondly, the extracted centerlines are clustered using the custom iterative window.
Sign language (SL) has strong structural features. Various gestures and the complex trajectories of hand movements bring challenges to sign language recognition (SLR). Based on the inherent correlation between gesture and trajectory of SL action, SLR is organically divided into gesture-based recognition and gesture-related movement trajectory recognition.

The retrotranslocation of misfolded proteins across the ER membrane is an energy-consuming process, with the detailed transportation mechanism still needing clarification. We determined the cryo-EM structures of the hetero-decameric complex formed by the Derlin-1 tetramer and the p97 hexamer.

Introduction: Corin is a protease in the natriuretic peptide system. Deleterious variants are associated with hypertension and heart disease. It remains unclear if and to what extent corin deficiency may contribute to heart failure (HF).

Unlike in the kidney, the hormonal regulation of intestinal sodium excretion remains unclear. Atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) is a crucial hormone in renal natriuresis.

However, such as complicated calibration process and low accuracy are still the inevitable problems in the calibration process. In this paper, a projector calibration method based on phase-shifting method with sinusoidal structured light is proposed to improve the accuracy of the calibration and simplify the operation of the calibration.

In addition to its role in enhancing natriuresis and vasodilation, ANP increases lipolysis and thermogenesis in adipose tissue. Corin is a protease responsible for ANP activation.

In order to overcome the severe STAP performance degradation caused by impure reference signals and off-grid effects, a novel MP clutter suppression method based on local search is proposed for airborne passive radar. In the proposed method, the global dictionary is constructed based on the sparse measurement model of MP clutter, and the global atoms that are most relevant to the residual are selected.

As an important research direction of human-computer interaction technology, gesture recognition is the key to realizing sign language translation. To improve the accuracy of gesture recognition, a new gesture recognition method based on four channel surface electromyography (sEMG) signals is proposed. First, the S-transform is applied to four channel sEMG signals to enhance the time-frequency detail characteristics of the signals.

Deubiquitinases (DUBs) can counteract the Snail degradation process to maintain high level of Snail protein in cancer cells. In this study, we screened a cDNA library containing 79 DUBs, and discovered that a panel of DUBs consisting of USP13, USP28, USP29, USP37, OTUD6A, and DUB3 can markedly stabilize Snail protein, with USP29 displaying the strongest activity to prevent Snail degradation.

NLRP3 inflammasome activity must be tightly controlled, as its over-activation is involved in the pathogenesis of inflammatory diseases. Here, we show that NLRP3 inflammasome activation is suppressed by a centrosomal protein Spata2.

Resilience is the system-level self-adjusting ability of a complex network to retain its basic functionality and recover rapidly from major disruptions. Despite numerous heuristic enhancement methods, there is a research gap in maximizing network resilience: current heuristic methods are designed to immunize vital nodes or modify a network to a specific onion-like structure and cannot maximize resilience theoretically via network structure.

It is equal to the number of shortest paths from all vertices to all others that pass through that node. Most of real-world large networks display a hierarchical community structure, and their betweenness computation possesses rather high complexity.

Using RNAi, we demonstrated that depletion of BRG1, the catalytic subunit of the SWI/SNF complex, led to impaired self-renewing ability and dysregulated lineage specification of hESCs. A unique composition of the BRG1-SWI/SNF complex in hESCs was further defined by the presence of BRG1, BAF250A, BAF170, BAF155, BAF53A, and BAF47.

Performance improvement with respect to existing algorithm is obtained by means of a new just perceptual weighting (JPW) model. The new model incorporates various masking effects of human visual perception by taking into account the eye's sensitivity to noise changes depending on spatial frequency, luminance and texture of all the image subbands.
