Aim: Cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen-4 (CTLA-4), an inhibitory molecule on T-cells, plays a key role in tumorigenesis and progression. In the present study, we investigated the effects of three polymorphisms in the CTLA-4 gene on the risk of epithelial ovarian cancer and the clinical outcomes of patients.
Methods: A case-control study was performed in 527 epithelial ovarian cancer patients and 532 controls.

Objective: DNA mismatch repair deficiency is not only thought to promote tumorigenesis but is also suggested to be associated with platinum-based chemotherapy treatment. In this study, we investigated the effects of two genetic polymorphisms in the and genes on the risk of epithelial ovarian cancer and the clinical outcome of patients treated with platinum-based chemotherapy.
Methods: A case-control study was performed in 536 epithelial ovarian cancer patients and 532 control women.
