Research Design And Methods: We analyzed data from 5985 adults with asthma from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2001-2018. We used multivariable weighted Cox regression, smoothing curve fitting, survival curve analysis, and subgroup analysis to assess the correlation between the TyG index and survival rates.

Designing Chiral Organometallic Nanosheets with Room-Temperature Multiferroicity and Topological Nodes.

Two-dimensional (2D) room-temperature chiral multiferroic and magnetic topological materials are essential for constructing functional spintronic devices, yet their number is extremely limited. Here, by using the chiral and polar HPP (HPP = 4-(3-hydroxypyridin-4-yl)pyridin-3-ol) as an organic linker and transition metals (TM = Cr, Mo, W) as nodes, we predict a class of 2D TM(HPP) organometallic nanosheets that incorporate homochirality, room-temperature magnetism, ferroelectricity, and topological nodes. The homochirality is introduced by chiral HPP linkers, and the change in structural chirality induces a topological phase transition of Weyl phonons.

Objective: The presence of skin flora (SF) has been identified as a significant factor in the onset and progression of cutaneous melanoma (CM). However, the vast diversity and abundance of SF present challenges to fully understanding the causal relationship between SF and CM.

Methods: A Two Sample Mendelian Randomization (TSMR) analysis was conducted to investigating the causal relationship between SF and CM.

Predicting the T790M mutation in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) using brain metastasis MR radiomics: a study with an imbalanced dataset.

Background: Early detection of T790M mutation in exon 20 of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients with brain metastasis is crucial for optimizing treatment strategies. In this study, we developed radiomics models to distinguish NSCLC patients with T790M-positive mutations from those with T790M-negative mutations using multisequence MR images of brain metastasis despite an imbalanced dataset. Various resampling techniques and classifiers were employed to identify the most effective strategy.

Adult attachment, social anxiety, and problematic social media use: A meta-analysis and meta-analytic structural equation model.

The relationship between adult attachment (anxious attachment and avoidant attachment) and problematic social media use is controversial and contradictory. Hence, the present study clarified the relationship between adult attachment dimensions and problematic social media use through meta-analysis. To better explain the relationship, this study also established meta-analytic structural equation modeling to examine the mediating role of social anxiety in the relationship.

Parenting styles influence child development. Some theories and numerous studies have shown a close relationship between parenting style and youths' subjective well-being; however, the results of different studies were inconsistent. Hence, our meta-analysis aimed to determine the overall relationship between positive and negative parenting styles on subjective well-being (including life satisfaction, positive and negative affect) and any moderating effects between them.

Receptor and ligand binding mediated targeted drug delivery systems (DDS) sometimes fail to target to tumor sites, and cancer cell membrane (CCM) coating can overcome the dilemma of immune clearance and nonspecific binding of DDS in vivo. In order to enhance the targeting ability and improve the anti-tumor effect, a dual targeting DDS was established based on U87MG CCM mediated homologous targeting and cyclic peptide RGD mediated active targeting. The DDS was prepared by coating RGD doped CCM onto doxorubicin (DOX) loaded liposomes.

infection-induced peritonitis in a patient with renal insufficiency: A case report and literature review.

Clinical pharmacists participated in the drug therapy of peritonitis caused by infection in a patient with renal insufficiency. Based on the knowledge of clinical pharmacy, the patient's condition and laboratory parameters, the literature, and the pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic characteristics of antibiotics, amikacin in combination with ciprofloxacin was suggested for anti-infection therapy. During the treatment, clinical pharmacists timely evaluated the efficacy of antibiotics, monitored the adverse reactions, and provided individualized pharmaceutical care in the patient.

Chiral charge density wave induced by mirror symmetry breaking in kagome metal.

Kagome lattice provides a distinctive platform to investigate various correlated electron orders. Recently, an unconventional charge density wave (CDW) with novel chirality is observed in the kagome metalVSb(= K, Rb, Cs), and the origin of which is still unclear. Here, using a tight-binding model and the mean-field method, we calculate the electron order in the quasi-two-dimensional kagome lattice with 1/3 electron filling, and show that the chiral CDW emerges under a set of parameters withC6rotational symmetry but without mirror symmetry.

The current study was planned to estimate the molecular prevalence, risk factors, and phylogenetic analysis of infection in sheep and goats from different agro-climatic regions of Central and Southern Punjab, Pakistan. A total of 400 jugular blood samples were collected from asymptomatic goats ( = 200) and sheep ( = 200) from the Jhang and Dera Ghazi Khan districts from January 2021 to February, 2023.

Prognostic model construction and target identification of Si-Wu-Tang against breast cancer.

The targets and mechanisms of Si-Wu-Tang (SWT) against (Breast cancer) BRCA were identified and a survival model and nomogram was construted by network pharmacology, bioinformatic analysis and experiments. A total of 72 anti-breast cancer SWT targets were selected, among which eleven genes () were used to construct a novel prognostic model of breast cancer. The anti-breast cancer activity of SWT was related to the modulation of the receptor tyrosine kinases signaling pathways.
