Objective: To study the various processes involved in transcellular transport (TT) of huperzine A alone or in combination with ginkgolide B in Caco-2 and Madin-Darby canine renal (MDCK) cell monolayer.

Cholesteryl-modification of a glucomannan from Bletilla striata and its hydrogel properties.

A glucomannan-type polysaccharide, named BSP, was obtained from the tubers of Bletilla striata by ultrasonic-assisted extraction, ethanol precipitation, deproteination and gel-permeation chromatography. HPLC analysis revealed that BSP contained mannose and glucose in the molar ratio of 3.5:1.

Successful pregnancy following insertion of a levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system in two infertile patients with complex atypical endometrial hyperplasia.

Two infertile patients are presented with complex atypical endometrial hyperplasia becoming pregnant following conservative treatment with a levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system (LNG-IUS) insertion. Histological morphology of endometrial samples after 6 months' exposure to LNG-IUS showed secretory or atrophic glands with decidualized stroma. Two healthy babies were born following ovulation induction after removal of the LNG-IUS.
