However, graphene, a classic two-dimensional (2D) carbon material, is chemically inert to most metal atoms, hindering its application as an electrode material for metal-ion batteries. Inspired by the unique geometry of a four-penta unit, we explore a metallic 2D carbon allotrope C composed of 5-10-16 carbon rings.

Previous studies have shown that every-other-day fasting (EODF), a dietary restriction method, can reduce SCI size and promote motor function recovery, making it a potential novel treatment. However, the mechanism that underlies the positive impact of EODF on SCI remains unclear.

Methods: A rat T10 laminectomy SCI model produced by transient application of an aneurysm clip was used in the study.
The persulfate activation by nanosecond pulsed gas-liquid discharge (NPG-LD) is employed to degrade the trimethoprim (TMP) in water. The results show that persulfate addition enhances the degradation of TMP by NPG-LD through an obvious synergetic effect. With treatment time of 50 min, the high removal efficiency and energy yield reach 94.

Thus we investigated the use of exogenous ketone supplementation (ketone sodium, KS) combined with ketogenic diet as a means rapidly inducing a metabolic state of ketosis following spinal cord injury in adult rats. In uninjured rats, ketone levels increased more rapidly than those in rats with KD alone and peaked at higher levels than we previously demonstrated for the KD in models of spinal cord injury.

Discharge regime transition in a single pulse can present the breakdown mechanism of nanosecond pulsed dielectric barrier discharge. In this paper, regime transitions between streamer, diffuse, and surface discharges in nanosecond pulsed dielectric barrier discharge are studied experimentally using high resolution temporal-spatial spectra and instantaneous exposure images. After the triggering time of 2-10 ns, discharge was initiated with a stable initial streamer channel propagation.
