Homocysteine (Hcy) is a sulfur-containing amino acid. An elevated level of Hcy is a risk factor for diabetes development. However, the mechanism of its effect on pancreatic β-cell function is unclear.

To investigate the alleviating effect of hydrogen (H) on homocysteine (Hcy) levels and non alcoholic fatty liver in rats with hyperhomocysteinemia (HHcy). After one week of adaptive feeding, Wistar rats were randomly divided into three groups: the general diet group (CHOW), the high methionine group (HMD), and the high methionine plus hydrogen rich water group (HMD+HRW), with 8 rats in each group. The CHOW group was fed with AIN-93G feed, while the HMD and HMD+HRW groups were fed with AIN-93G+2% methionine feed to construct an HHcy model.

Methods: Adult male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into a pure water drinking group (NC) and a hydrogen water drinking group (HW) (n = 7), and 2-week treadmill training was used to establish a sports model. Gut bacterial community profiling was performed using 16S rRNA gene sequencing analysis.
Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Gualou Xiebai Banxia (GLXBBX) decoction is a well-known traditional Chinese herbal formula that was first discussed in the Synopsis of the Golden Chamber by Zhang Zhongjing in the Eastern Han Dynasty. In traditional Chinese medicine, GLXBBX is commonly prescribed to treat cardiovascular diseases, such as coronary heart disease and atherosclerosis.
Objective: The present study aimed to examine GLXBBX's preventative capacity and elucidate the potential molecular mechanism of Poloxamer 407 (P407)-induced hyperlipidemia in rats.
Non-coding RNAs appear to be involved in the regulation of the nervous system. However, no competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) network related to PM damage in the hippocampal function has yet been constructed. Herein, we used whole-transcriptome sequencing technology to systematically study the ceRNA network in rat hippocampi after PM exposure.

To explore the effects of total sleep deprivation (TSD) on brain attention network and to analyze the effects of sleep deprivation on individual selective attention network conflict effect and electroencephalograph (EEG) sample entropy. Twenty-five healthy subjects participated in the test from 9: 00am that day to 9: 00pm next day. The subjects completed the attention network task (ANT) before and after TSD, and synchronously recorded the EEG signals.
