ℤ-classified higher-order topological insulators (HOTIs) with chiral-symmetric higher-order topological phases protected by multipole chiral numbers (MCNs) have attracted extensive interest recently. However, how to design artificial ℤ-classified HOTIs with multiple topological phases remains an unresolved issue. Here, multiorbital degrees of freedom are introduced to acoustic crystals and the various methods of topological phase transitions are achieved for the orbital ℤ-classified HOTIs.

We present a versatile palladium-catalyzed glycosylation platform that enables facile access to structurally diverse N-O-linked glycosides with constantly excellent regio- and stereoselectivities. Importantly, this approach offers a broad substrate scope, low catalyst loadings, and outstanding chemoselectivity, allowing for the selective reaction of oximes/hydroximic acids over hydroxyl groups that would otherwise pose challenges in conventional glycosylation methods. The synthetic utility of this method is further exemplified through a range of synthetic transformations and late-stage modification of bioactive molecules.

Background The prognostic value of coronary CT angiography (CTA)-derived quantitative flow ratio (CT-QFR) remains unknown. Purpose To determine the prognostic value of CT-QFR in predicting the long-term outcomes of patients with suspected coronary artery disease (CAD) in comparison with invasive coronary angiography (ICA)/SPECT and to determine the influence of prior percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) on the prognostic value of CT-QFR. Materials and Methods In this secondary analysis of the prospective international CORE320 study, 379 participants who underwent coronary CTA and SPECT within 60 days before ICA between November 2009 and July 2011 were included for follow-up.

Due to the neighborhood explosion phenomenon, scaling up graph neural networks to large graphs remains a huge challenge. Various sampling-based mini-batch approaches, such as node-wise, layer-wise, and subgraph sampling, have been proposed to alleviate this issue. However, intensive random sampling incurs additional overhead during training and often fails to deliver good performance consistently.

Anthocyanins are important secondary metabolites in plants. After the formation of anthocyanidins, Flavonoid 3-O-glucosyltransferase (3GT) mediated glycosylation first occurs at the C-3 site, forming a stable anthocyanin 3-O-glucoside. Several studies have investigated the function of 3GT using biochemical methods.

Blue phase liquid crystals (BPLCs) have exhibited promising applications in 3D flexible displays due to their molecular-level self-assembled chiral structures, fast response, and tunable polarized colors. However, there remain challenges for spatiotemporal programming of 3D chiral color units for BPLC dynamic patterning. Herein, the programmable temporal evolution of micrometer-scale color units and spatial configuration switch of chiral modes are achieved by spontaneous ink diffusion-driven asymmetric lattice deformation in dual-chiral polymer-templated blue phases.

  • Simnotrelvir (S/R) has shown strong antiviral effects against SARS-CoV-2 and, in a recent study, effectively reduced hospitalization rates for COVID-19 in patients during XBB variant surges.
  • The study was conducted in China with 3522 adult participants diagnosed with mild to moderate COVID-19, comparing those treated with S/R to a control group not receiving antivirals.
  • Results indicated that S/R significantly lowered the incidence of COVID-19-related hospitalizations and did not result in any deaths, especially benefiting older patients and those with existing health risks.

Background: To clarify the fat attenuation index (FAI) change trend of peri-saphenous vein graft (SVG) and determine the association between FAI and graft disease progression based on CCTA images.

Methods: Patients with venous coronary artery bypass grafts (CABGs) were consecutively enrolled in this retrospective study. In study 1, 72 patients who had undergone 1, 3, and 5 years of CCTA examinations without graft occlusion were recruited, and generalized estimation equation was used to analyze the peri-SVG FAI change trend over time.

During bacterial cytokinesis, polymers of the bacterial tubulin FtsZ coalesce into the Z ring to orchestrate divisome assembly and septal cell wall synthesis. Previous studies have found that Z ring condensation and stability is critical for successful cell division. However, how FtsZ filaments condense into a Z ring remains enigmatic and whether septal cell wall synthesis can feedback to the Z ring has not been investigated.
