Softening in fruit adversely impacts their edible quality and commercial value, leading to substantial economic losses during fruit ripening, long-term storage, long-distance transportation, and marketing. As the apple fruit demonstrates climacteric respiration, its firmness decreases with increasing ethylene release rate during fruit ripening and postharvest storage. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying ethylene-mediated regulation of fruit softening in apple remain poorly understood.

However, 30% of early breast cancer (EBC) patients are resistant to anthracycline-containing chemotherapy, leading to poor prognosis and higher mortality. Ki-67 is associated with the prognosis and response to therapy, and it changes after NAC.

It accumulates by vacuolar proton pumps, transporters, and channels, affecting the taste and flavor of fruits. Among the three types of proton pumps (V-ATPases, V-PPases, and P-ATPases), the P-ATPases play an important role in the transport of malate into vacuoles.

In this work, we propose a unique structure inheritance strategy for preparing BiS micro-straws in which a metal-organic framework (MOF) denoted as Bi-PYDC (PYDC = 3,5-pyridinedicarboxylate) with a string of [BiO] chains is judiciously selected as the structure-directing template to induce the formation of micro-straws based on a topochemical reaction. The distinctive hollow structure significantly enhances the ionic storage kinetics.

In this study, the immunosurveillance role and underlying mechanisms of NLRC5 in endometrial cancer (EC) were characterized.
Methods: CD8 T cells were separated from healthy women's peripheral blood by using magnetic beads.
Cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury (CIRI) is associated with a poor neurological prognosis in patients who have experienced cardiac arrest (CA) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The aim of the current study was to investigate the potential role of a calpain inhibitor in CIRI using a rat model of CA. CA was induced in adult male Sprague-Dawley rats, and MDL28170 (a calpain inhibitor) was administered to the rats within 30 min after the return of spontaneous circulation.

However, the function of m6A modification in the immune response to endometrial cancer (EC) remains unknown. Our study investigated the immunological role of methyltransferase-like 3 (METTL3) in EC and the underlying molecular mechanism.

Since OC has a poor prognosis due to extensive metastasis, there is a need to explore a new mechanism of OC metastasis. microRNAs (miRs) are single-stranded, non-coding RNAs.

As the concentration of NaCit increases, the 3D assembly morphology evolves from coral-like to sphere-like to snowflake-like structures. The electrochemical test results show that the electrode materials of various morphologies possess excellent cycle life, but the specific capacity varies greatly depending on the morphology.

Herein is described a rare clinical case of GTN combined with primary lung cancer and mesenchymal tumor of the sigmoid colon, followed with literature review.
Case Presentation: The patient was hospitalized due to diagnosis of GTN with primary lung cancer.
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide. The development of epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors (EGFR-TKIs) and immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) has brought favorable survival benefits to patients with non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC); unfortunately, acquired drug resistance remains a major barrier to the treatment of NSCLC. Recent studies have demonstrated that the transcriptional co-activator with a PDZ-binding motif (TAZ, also called WWTR1) induces tumor immune evasion by directly modulating the expression of programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1), a key therapeutic target for checkpoint immunotherapy.

The NOD-like receptor (NLR) family, caspase recruitment (CARD) domain containing 5 (NLRC5) was dysregulated in endometrial cancer (EC). However, the potential regulatory mechanisms of NLRC5 in EC remained unclear. We aimed to explore whether NLRC5 could regulate the programmed cell death protein ligand 1 (PD-L1) in EC.

Allergic rhinitis (AR) is a noninfectious inflammatory disease seriously affecting the quality of life. This study aimed to assess the efficacy of the Tuomin Zhiti decoction in allergic rhinitis and to provide a reference for clinical treatment. One hundred patients with AR treated in the Department of Otolaryngology of our hospital from January 2019 to December 2020 were recruited and assigned via a random number table method (1 : 1) to receive either oral loratadine and mometasone nasal spray (control group) or the Tuomin Zhiti decoction plus oral loratadine and mometasone nasal spray (study group).
