The subgenus Orientostichus Sciaky & Allegro, 2013 from Southeast China is reviewed. A total of eleven species were recognized from this area, all belonging to the Pterostichus prattii Bates, 1890 species group. They are mainly differentiated by the characters of pronotum basal foveae, elytral microsculpture, male sexual modification on sternite VII, and endophallus of male genitalia.

(+)-Sarcanan A () and (-)-Sarcanan A (), a pair of new dihydrobenzofuran neolignan enantiomers, together with six known compounds (-), were isolated from the aerial parts of . Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic analysis, and the absolute configurations of and were determined by analyses of the electronic circular dichroism (ECD) data. All compounds were evaluated for their inhibitory effects on the nitric oxide (NO) production induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in RAW264.

The Chinese species of subgenus Koreonialoe Park & Kwon, 1996 of the genus are revised, including four species from the eastern part of Jilin and Liaoning provinces. Two new species are described: Pterostichus (Koreonialoe) micropoides (type locality: Jilin, Changbai county), and Pterostichus (Koreonialoe) tetralobatus (type locality: Liaoning, Xiuyan county). Pterostichus (Koreonialoe) bellatrix (Tschitschérine) is newly recorded from China (Jilin).

The inner part of the oil pool flame could be divided into different combustion areas, and there have been a limited number of researches on the heat transfer characteristics within oil pool fire. Due to the lack of adequate researches on the characteristics of heat transfer in oil pool flame, this paper carries out an analytical study to pool flame spectrums of 92# gasoline,95# gasoline and lube by establishing flame infrared testing system. Spectral information about different combustion regions of oil pool fire is collected.
