Article Synopsis
  • - The study aimed to identify membrane transporters related to the secretion of interleukin (IL)-1β from macrophages using experiments with human cell lines and knockout mice models.
  • - Human macrophages were created from the THP-1 cell line and primary blood cells, and various transporter inhibitors were tested for their impact on IL-1β secretion after being stimulated.
  • - Results showed that inhibiting the ABCC1/MRP1 transporter significantly reduced IL-1β secretion, suggesting it as a potential target for treating issues such as cytokine release syndrome.

Article Synopsis
  • CAR-T therapy has shown impressive results for patients with blood cancers, but it faces challenges like antigen escape and safety concerns.
  • Researchers are actively working on improving the CAR gene structure to overcome these obstacles and enhance treatment effectiveness.
  • This review focuses on different CAR-T cell structures and new designs aimed at increasing the persistence of CAR-T cells in the body, which could lead to safer and more effective therapies.

Introduction: TET2, a member of the Ten-Eleven translocation gene family, catalyzes the conversion of 5-methylcytosine to 5-hydroxymethylcytosine in DNA. Low expression of TET2 has been reported as a prognostic factor for several types of malignancies in adult patients. However, there have been few data on the effect of TET2 mRNA level on the prognosis of children with ALL so far.
