Developing novel proton exchange membranes (PEMs) with low cost and superior performance to replace Nafion is of great significance. Polyoxometalate-doped sulfonated poly(aryl ether ketone sulfone) (SPAEKS) allows for the amalgamation of the advantages in each constituent, thereby achieving an optimized performance for the hybrid PEMs. Herein, the hybrid membranes by introducing 2MeIm-{Mo} into SPAEKS are obtained.

To synthetically evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of image features for differentiating benign from malignant gallbladder wall thickening disease with non-contrast MRI and establish the optimal diagnostic indicator. A total of 23 patients with wall thickening type gallbladder carcinoma and 61 patients with benign wall thickening disease were included. The diagnostic performance of six image features including the layered pattern on T2-weighted imaging (T2WI) and diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) images, T2WI signal intensity, papillary growth, the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) value, and the lesion to liver parenchyma ratio (LLR) of gallbladder were evaluated and compared.

We examined the mechanism by which lithium chloride (LiCl) attenuates the impaired learning capability and memory function of dual-transgenic APP/PS1 mice. Six- or 12-month-old APP/PS1 and wild-type (WT) mice were randomized into four groups, namely WT, WT+Li (100 mg LiCl/kg body weight, gavage once daily), APP/PS1 and APP/PS1+Li. In this work, by combining the superiority of polyoxometalates (POMs) and catalytic single-metal site Co of metalloporphyrin, a series of mixed-valence POM-based metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) composites is synthesized by a post-modification method. We report an outbreak of carbapenemase-producing hypervirulent in two hospitals that undergo frequent patient transfers. Analysis of 11 completely assembled genomes showed that the bacteria were ST11-K64 strains. Moreover, 12 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) identified the strains as having originated from the same cluster, and were also indicative of the interhospital transmission of infection.

Background: The incidence of brucellosis, which is caused by the Brucella species of bacteria, is rapidly rising worldwide; however, few studies have investigated the immune response to this pathogen and clinical biochemical features. In this paper, we examined the levels of various cytokines and inflammatory factors as well as clinical course characteristics in patients with brucellosis, in order to provide evidence for the diagnosis, assessment, and prognosis of this infectious disease.

A series of isoreticular metal-organic frameworks (MOFs; NENU-511-NENU-514), which all have high surface areas and strong adsorption capacities, have been successfully constructed by using mixed ligands. NENU-513 has the highest benzene capacity of 1687 mg g(-1) at 298 K, which ranks as the top MOF material among those reported up to now. This NENU series has been used for adsorptive desulfurization because of its permanent porosity.

A stable porous carbazole-based luminescent metal-organic framework, NENU-522, was successfully constructed. It is extremely stable in air and acidic/basic aqueous solutions, which provides the strategy for luminescent material encapsulation of Ln(3+) ions with tunable luminescence for application in light emission.
