In this study, we propose highly stable perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) coated with AlO using atomic layer deposition (ALD) passivation technology. This passivation layer effectively protects the QDs from moisture infiltration and oxidation as well as from high temperatures and any changes in the material characteristics. They exhibit excellent wavelength stability and reliability in terms of current variation tests, long-term light aging tests, and temperature/humidity tests (60°/90%).

Article Synopsis
  • This study pioneers the use of combined hydrothermal synthesis and spin-coating techniques to create TiO-reduced graphene oxide (rGO) nanorod compositions, highlighting innovative methods in nanomaterial fabrication.
  • Key advancements include a custom spin-coating wedge, detailed exploration of structure-property relationships, and high-throughput evaluation to find the best ratios for photocatalytic and photoelectrochemical applications.
  • The optimal mixture of 7% TiO and 93% rGO showed exceptional photocatalytic performance, attributed to improved charge transport and reduced electron-hole recombination, along with impressive stability in both cycling tests and photocurrent density.
