The dexd/H-box helicase DHX40 is a novel negative regulator during GCRV infection via targeting the host RLR helicases and viral nonstructural protein NS38.

RLR helicases RIG-I and MDA5, which are known as pattern recognition receptors to sense cytoplasmic viral RNAs and trigger antiviral immune responses, are DExD/H-box helicases. In teleost, whether and how non-RLR helicases regulate RLR helicases to affect viral infection remains unclear. Here, we report that the non-RLR helicase DHX40 from grass carp (namely gcDHX40) is a negative regulator of grass carp reovirus (GCRV) infection and RLR-mediated type I IFN production.

Fabrication and characterization of ZnGaTe/g-CN heterojunction with enhanced photocatalytic activity.

The extensive consumption of fossil fuels increases CO concentration in the atmosphere, resulting in serious global warming problems. Meanwhile, the problem of water contamination by organic substances is another significant global challenge. We have successfully synthesized ZnGaTe/g-CN (ZGT/GCN) composites for the first time as effective photocatalysts for both pollutant degradation and CO reduction.

Degradation of sulfamethoxazole in water by AgNbO photocatalyst mediated by persulfate.

In this paper, silver niobate (AgNbO) material was synthesized by a solid-state reaction. AgNbO was characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), UV-visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS), and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) measurement. The photocatalytic activity of AgNbO was investigated in degradation of sulfamethoxazole (SMX) under visible light, which is a widely used antibiotic with significant threats towards health and aquatic organisms.

Network pharmacology approach to elucidate possible action mechanisms of Sinomenii Caulis for treating osteoporosis.

Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Sinomenii Caulis (SC) is a well-konwn traditional Chinese medicine used for treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA), dermatophytosis and paralysis. Patients with RA are usually secondary to osteoporosis, but the potential protective effect of SC on osteoporosis (OP) is seldom reported and its possible action mechanism is little known.

Aim: The purpose of this study was to demonstrate the anti-osteoporosis effects of SC extract and alkaloids in prednisolone (Pre)-induced OP of zebrafish, and then to explore the potential mechanism of SC on system level by network pharmacology.

Methods: Migration of prostate cancer cells was detected by Transwell. Inflammatory factor expression was investigated by ELISA.

Development and validation of a supercritical fluid chromatography method for fast analysis of six flavonoids in Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium.

The study is aimed to develop a rapid and efficient supercritical fluid chromatography coupled with diode-array detection (SFC-DAD) method for simultaneous quantification of six flavonoids in Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (CRP). The chromatographic parameters including stationary phase, mobile phase composition, back pressure, temperature and flow rate, were systematically optimized with single-factor test. The results indicated that the six compounds were baseline separated on an Agilent Zorbax RX-SIL column using gradient elution within 10 min.

Testing for a slope-based decoupling algorithm in a woofer-tweeter adaptive optics system.

It is well known that using two or more deformable mirrors (DMs) can improve the compensation ability of an adaptive optics (AO) system. However, to keep the stability of an AO system, the correlation between the multiple DMs must be suppressed during the correction. In this paper, we proposed a slope-based decoupling algorithm to simultaneous control the multiple DMs.

[Functional MRI in chronic liver disease of hepatitis B patients].

Objective: To estimate the correlations between functional MRI (fMRI) parameters and the severity of chronic liver lesions of hepatitis B patients.

Methods: 47 hepatitis B patients [6 with chronic hepatitis, 41 with cirrhosis (14 with Child-Pugh class A cirrhosis; 12 with class B cirrhosis; and 15 with class C cirrhosis)] and 10 normal volunteers, referred for measurements of apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values of the liver, perfusion imaging parameters, portal flow parameters and serum markers of hepatic fibrosis were included in the study. Diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) with different b values and b value remainder was performed.
