Conbercept and Retinal Photocoagulation in the treatment of Diabetic Macular Edema.

Objective: To explore the clinical efficacy of intravitreal injection of conbercept in combination with retinal laser photocoagulation in the treatment of diabetic macular edema.

Methods: Ninety patients with diabetic macular edema were selected and grouped into an observation group and a control group using random number table, 45 patients (45 eyes) each group. The control group was given retinal laser photocoagulation, while the observation group was given intravitreal injection of Conbercept on the basis of panretinal photocoagulation.

Down-Regulation of MicroRNA-133b Suppresses Apoptosis of Lens Epithelial Cell by Up-Regulating BCL2L2 in Age-Related Cataracts.

BACKGROUND MicroRNA-133b (miR-133b) has been reported to be involved in many diseases, including ovarian cancer and osteosarcoma. Accumulating evidence suggests that miR-133b plays important roles in human disease. In this study, we aimed to investigate the molecular mechanism, including the potential regulator and signaling pathways, of BCL2L2.

Adsorption behavior of 4-methoxypyridine on gold nanoparticles.

We demonstrate a phase transfer method to create stable colloidal solutions of Au nanoparticles with 4-methoxypyridine ligands. We then investigate the adsorption behavior of 4-methoxypyridine onto gold surfaces by Raman spectroscopy, DFT calculations, and (1)H NMR. In contrast to unsubstituted pyridine and the frequently used (N,N-dimethylamino)pyridine (DMAP), a flat adsorption of 4-methoxypyridine on gold was found.
