We present a nonclassical {Ru(CH)}-containing isopolymolybdate CsKNaH{[(CH)Ru]MoO}·35HO () via one-pot reaction. The crystallographic characterization of compound revealed that it contains an unusual {MoO} cluster together with six {Ru(CH)} groups, having the largest number of {Ru(CH)} groups within the field of {Ru(CH)}-containing polyoxometalates. Results showed that compound displayed excellent proton conductivity (9.

Compound inherited the strong absorption of [Ru(CH)Cl] in the visible region and {TeWO} in the UV region, providing a good basis for photocatalysis. As expected, compound showed good photocatalytic activity in the visible-light-driven reduction of nitrobenzene using NH·HO as a reductant with a yield of 99.

Compound 1 not only possesses strong light-harvesting ability, but also exhibits high carrier separation efficiency and lower charge transfer resistance.
