Using the Utah All Payers Claims Database from 2019 to 2021, the study identified telemedicine utilization of adults aged 18 to 62 years old in 2019.

Metabolic Alterations in Multiple Myeloma: From Oncogenesis to Proteasome Inhibitor Resistance.

Despite significant improvements in treatment strategies over the past couple of decades, multiple myeloma (MM) remains an incurable disease due to the development of drug resistance. Metabolic reprogramming is a key feature of cancer cells, including MM, and acts to fuel increased proliferation, create a permissive tumour microenvironment, and promote drug resistance. This review presents an overview of the key metabolic adaptations that occur in MM pathogenesis and in the development of resistance to proteasome inhibitors, the backbone of current MM therapy, and considers the potential for therapeutic targeting of key metabolic pathways to improve outcomes.

The present study investigated perinatal risk factors for ASD, primarily focusing on birth status, within a large early intervention sample. In particular, the relationship between ASD, perinatal factors, and the effect of birth status on developmental functioning and ASD symptom severity were examined in youth with and without ASD classification who were born singly or were the product of a multiple birth.

A meta-analysis of existing and available Illumina 16S rRNA datasets from drinking water source, treatment and drinking water distribution systems (DWDS) were collated to compare changes in abundance and diversity throughout. Samples from bulk water and biofilm were used to assess principles governing microbial community assembly and the value of amplicon sequencing to water utilities. Individual phyla relationships were explored to identify competitive or synergistic factors governing DWDS microbiomes.

Glioblastoma in Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome: first case report and review of potential pathomechanisms.

We present the case of a 36-year-old lady with BWS who developed a left frontoinsular secondary glioblastoma. This is the first case report in the literature of glioblastoma associated with BWS.
