A review of the literature demonstrates an urgent need for an empirically validated instrument that measures detailed knowledge of NPEP among the key population of men who have sex with men (MSM).

Methods: Semi-structured interviews, focus groups, and a cross-sectional survey with a sample of 419 MSM was conducted in 2018 in China to develop and psychometrically evaluate the new instrument, the NPEP Knowledge Scale.

Background: Isolated small airway abnormalities may be demonstrable at rest in patients with normal spirometry; however, the relationship of these abnormalities to exertional symptoms remains uncertain. This study uses an augmented cardiopulmonary exercise test (CPET) to include evaluation of small airway function during and following exercise to unmask abnormalities not evident with standard testing in individuals with dyspnoea and normal spirometry.

Design thinking is a well-established practical and educational approach to fostering high-level creativity and innovation, which has been refined since the 1950s with the participation of experts like Joy Paul Guilford and Abraham Maslow. Through real-world projects, trainees learn to optimize their creative outcomes by developing and practicing creative cognition and metacognition. This paper provides a holistic perspective on creativity, enabling the formulation of a comprehensive theoretical framework of creative metacognition.

Sexual health services in urban, suburban, and rural outpatient mental healthcare settings in New York: findings from a survey of practices and gaps.

We surveyed all licensed outpatient mental health programs in New York to examine sexual health services and training needs of providers. Gaps were found in processes for assessing whether patients were sexually active, engaging in sexual risk behaviours, and in need of HIV testing and pre-exposure prophylaxis. Significant differences between urban, suburban, and rural settings statewide were found in how the following sexual health services were delivered: education; on-site sexually transmitted infection screenings; and condom distribution and barriers to distribution.

Sequential Solidification of Metal Powder by a Scanning Microwave Applicator.

This study examines the fundamental feasibility of sequential metal-powder solidification by localized microwave-heating (LMH) provided by a scanning, all-solid-state microwave applicator. This continuous process is considered for the additive manufacturing (AM) and 3D printing (3DP) applications of metal parts. In previous studies, we employed LMH for the incremental solidification of small batches of metal powder in a stepwise vertical manner.

Oxytocin has been used to treat neurodevelopmental conditions in adolescent patients but possible effects on reproductive development have not been well investigated. The effects of daily intra-nasal oxytocin treatment (12-18 months of age) on puberty and fertility were studied in colony-housed, male and female titi monkeys (Plecturocebus cupreus). Body weight, urinary conjugated pregnanes and estrogens (defining cyclicity) in females, and androgens and sperm in urine of in males, were measured from 1 to 3 years of age to detect puberty.

Therapeutic strategies in ORG were limited mainly in the past to weight loss through lifestyle interventions and bariatric surgery, antihypertensive treatment, and renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system blockade.
