The key requirement for underwater image enhancement (UIE) is to overcome the unpredictable color degradation caused by the underwater environment and light attenuation, while addressing issues, such as color distortion, reduced contrast, and blurring. However, most existing unsupervised methods fail to effectively solve these problems, resulting in a visual disparity in metric-optimal qualitative results compared with undegraded images. In this work, we propose an implicit neural-guided cyclic generative model for UIE tasks, and the bidirectional mapping structure solves the aforementioned ill-posed problem from the perspective of bridging the gap between the metric-favorable and the perceptual-friendly versions.

The present study aimed to utilize machine learning for predicting renal function status after RNU and to investigate the contribution of several features to this prediction. The present retrospective study included 764 medical records of patients with non-metastatic UTUC who received RNU from 2008 to 2022.

Background: Hippocampal subfield pathology is established in bipolar disorder (BD); yet no studies have investigated these alterations in adolescents at clinical high risk for BD (MDD-Sub), which is a critical gap given adolescence as a neurodevelopmental window for early intervention.
Methods: We analyzed baseline 3D T1-weighted MRI data from 72 adolescents at Clinical High Risk for BD "MDD-Sub"MDD-Sub vs. MDD-nSub, 74 pure adolescents with MDD (MDD-nSub), and 72 healthy adolescents (HC) aged 12-18 years in the sBEAD cohort.

Straw application is widely used to reclaim saline soils. However, the characteristics of straw mineralization and its induced priming effects (PE) in saline soil are largely unknown. Thus, we conducted a 180-day saline soil incubation experiment to observe the characteristics of straw mineralization and CO emissions.

However, clinical outcomes are unsatisfied for patients with intermediate/adverse cytogenetics based on European Leukemia Net (ELN) risk stratification 2022 (ELN 2022), and relapses also remain common even in patients with favorable-risk cytogenetics with measurable residual disease (MRD). There is an urgent unmet need for optimizing intensive chemotherapy regimens with novel agents, to enhance the MRD-negative rate, achieve durable remission, and improve the prognosis of AML.

Methods: A retrospective review was conducted on patients who underwent radical nephroureterectomy (RNU) for non-metastatic UTUC at our institution from 2000 to 2013. The contralateral recurrence rate was calculated using the Kaplan-Meier method, and multivariate logistic regression analysis was employed to examine the relationship between clinicopathological characteristics and contralateral recurrence.
Microplastics are emerging as a novel environmental contaminant and pose a substantial threat to riverine ecosystems. This research focused on the Huangbai River, employing field sampling, laboratory experiments, and statistical analyses during April and July 2023. The objective of this study was to clarify the magnitude of microplastic contamination in surface water, sediment, and the benthic macroinvertebrate community.

Objective: To evaluate the impact of dialysis on intravesical recurrence and survival outcomes in patients with UTUC undergoing RNU, and to identify predictive factors influencing prognosis.
To explore the effect of genicular nerve block (GNB) on pain in lesions of the knee joint. Computerized searches of randomized controlled trials were conducted in PubMed, EMbase, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science, with a search time frame until January 2024. Methodological and experimental quality was assessed using the risk of bias assessment tool recommended by the Cochrane Handbook.

Data were retrospectively collected from 176 adult patients diagnosed with Ph + ALL and treated with allo-HSCT and TKIs at The First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, between January 2015 and May 2023. 70% of the patients were randomly assigned to the training group(n = 124) and 30% of the patients were assigned to the validation group(n = 52).

Material And Methods: This retrospective study included 940 patients with UTUC and type 2 diabetes from the Taiwan UTUC Collaboration Group, spanning 21 hospitals from July 1988 to September 2023.
Objective: To assessment the secular trend in physical fitness of children and adolescents aged 7-18 years in Xinjiang from 1985 to 2019.
Method: The data are derived from test scores of Xinjiang Chinese children and adolescents aged 7-18 years by the China National Student Health Monitoring Centre National Student Physical Fitness Monitoring in 1985, 1991, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2014, and 2019. The physical fitness indicators included speed, cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular strength, power, and flexibility.
This study investigated the effects of pre-experimental fasting for 2, 7, and 14 days under both unsheltered (12 h dark-12 h light) and sheltered conditions on the critical swimming speed (U) and oxygen consumption (MO) of juvenile grass carp, using a modified swim respirometer. Key findings include (1) the U of test fish decreased significantly, by 28%, after fasting for 14 days and sheltering intensified the impact to a 43% decrease, and (2) fish anaerobic capacity decreased after 7 days but increased after 14 days, and was enhanced by sheltering conditions. These findings are important as they indicate that fasting and sheltering can impair grass carp survival and disrupt river ecosystem balance, highlighting the need for habitat conservation.

Methods: Patients in multicenter studies were invited to complete the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality-of-Life Core 30 Questionnaire, the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale, and the Self-Rating Depression Scale at baseline and regularly during olverembatinib therapy. The time trends in PROs were estimated with a linear model using a generalized estimating equation based on an independent working correlation matrix.
Depression is increasingly prevalent among adolescents and can profoundly impact their lives. However, the early detection of depression is often hindered by the time-consuming diagnostic process and the absence of objective biomarkers. In this study, we propose a novel approach for depression detection based on an affective brain-computer interface (aBCI) and the resting-state electroencephalogram (EEG).
